Pezoporikos
Pezoporikos Club Larnaca ( el, Πεζοπορικός Όμιλος Λάρνακας, ''Pezoporikos Omilos Larnakas'') was a Cypriot sports club based in Larnaca with football, basketball and volleyball teams. Founded in 1927, the football club joined the Cypriot Championship in 1938, winning it twice as well as one Cypriot Cup. The colours of the club were green and white. In 1994 the club merged with EPA Larnaca and they formed AEK Larnaca (). The club also had a basketball and volleyball department and were basketball champions four times and five times cup winners. Since the 1990–91 season, the club dominated the Cyprus Basketball by winning 3 championships and one cup in four years. During the 1993–94 season the team eliminated Hapoel Eilat with 86–80 and 65–65 for the Korać Cup and qualified in the second round of Korać Cup where they were eliminated by Panionios. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. The sponsor of the competition since 1962 is Coca-Cola and thus officially known as Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup. 1987–88 Cypriot First Division
The 1987–88 Cypriot First Division was the 49th season of the Cypriot top-level football league. Pezoporikos won their 2nd title. Format Sixteen teams participated in the 1987–88 Cypriot First Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The last three teams were relegated to the 1988–89 Cypriot Second Division. The champions ensured their participation in the 1988–89 European Cup and the runners-up in the 1988–89 UEFA Cup. Point system Teams received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. AEK Larnaca
AEK Larnaca FC ( el, AEK; for short Αθλητική Έvωση Κίτιον Λάρνακας , translit=''Athletiki Enosi Kition Larnakas'', "Athletic Union Kition of Larnaca") is a Cypriot professional football club based in Larnaca. The club was formed in 1994 after a merger of two historical Larnaca clubs, EPA Larnaca and Pezoporikos. The club also has a men's basketball team, a women's volleyball team and a men's futsal team. The club's name comes from the ancient Greek city of Cyprus, Kition, which was located on the site of today's Larnaca. The colours of the club are yellow and green, and their emblem is admiral Kimon, who died at the seafront while defending the city of Kition circa 450 BC, in a fight against the Persians. Spiros Livathinos
Spyros Livathinos ( el, Σπύρος Λιβαθηνός; born 8 January 1955) is a former football player who played as a midfielder, coach and current scout of Panathinaikos. Career Born in Patras, Livathinos started his football career in the Panathinaikos youth system. In 1975, he made it to the greens' first team where he played a total of 267 league games in 10 seasons, winning three Alpha Ethniki and four Greek Football Cup titles. Livathinos then moved on to Cyprus where he became player/coach of Pezoporikos. In 1988, he led the Larnaca club to the championship of Cyprus and retired as a player. Livathinos made 27 appearances and scored one goal for the Greece national football team. He continued his coaching career guiding Ethnikos Asteras to the championship of the Greek B Division. Neophytos Larkou
Neophytos Larkou ( el, Νεόφυτος Λάρκου; born March 8, 1966) is a former international Cypriot football midfielder and currently he is a football manager. Career He started his career from Pezoporikos but when Pezoporikos merged with EPA Larnaca, and AEK Larnaca was founded, he continued his career in AEK. International career As footballer, he made 41 appearances with scoring two goals. In 2009, CFA appointed him as the assistant manager of Angelos Anastasiadis in the Cyprus national football team. Coach On April 15, 2011 he signed a contract with AC Omonoia, and managed to lead the team to the Cyprus Cup Final against Apollon Limassol.
