Petropol is a Russian award, given for achievements in the field of culture and art, original projects and patronage of the arts. It was founded by the National Pushkin Museum and the editorial board of the ''Petropol'' almanac. National Pushkin Museum
The National Pushkin Museum ( rus, Всероссийский музей А. С. Пушкина, r=Vsyerossiiskii muzei A. S. Pushkina - literally the 'All-Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin') is a museum dedicated to the life and work of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. It is located in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The museum was established in 1953 on the basis of the All-Russian Pushkin Exhibition of 1937 which opened in Moscow. The exhibition was opened in the Alexander Palace in the town of Pushkin in 1949. Later the exhibition was transferred to 17 halls of the Winter Palace, and in 1999 a new literary exposition entitled ''A. S. Pushkin: Life and Work'' was opened in 18 halls of the house at 12 Moika River Embankment, the last accommodation of Alexander Pushkin. The Pushkin Museum contains over 200,000 artifacts, including memorabilia, books and works of art related to Pushkin. Aleksandr Volodin (playwright)
Aleksandr Moiseyevich Volodin (russian: link=no, Александр Моисеевич Володин; 1919–2001), born Lifschitz, was a Soviet and Russian playwright, screenwriter and poet. His first play was ''The Factory Girl'' (1956). His most famous plays were ''Five Evenings'' (1959), ''My Elder Sister'' and some others. Daniil Granin
Daniil Aleksandrovich Granin (russian: Дании́л Алекса́ндрович Гра́нин; 1 January 1919 – 4 July 2017), original family name German (russian: Ге́рман), was a Soviet and Russian author. Life and career Granin started writing in the 1930s, while he was still an engineering student at the Leningrad Polytechnical Institute. After graduation, Granin began working as a senior engineer at an energy laboratory, and shortly after war broke out, he volunteered to fight as a soldier. One of the first widely praised works of Granin was a short story about graduate students titled "Variant vtoroi" (The second variant), which was published in the journal '' Zvezda'' in 1949. Granin had continued to study engineering and work as a technical writer before he achieved literary success, thanks to his ''Iskateli'' (''The Seekers'', 1955), a novel inspired by his career in engineering. Yuri Shevchuk
Yuri Yulianovich Shevchuk (russian: Юрий Юлианович Шевчук; born 16 May 1957) is a Soviet and Russian rock musician and singer/songwriter who leads the rock band DDT, which he founded with Vladimir Sigachyov in 1980. He is best known for his distinctive gravelly voice. His lyrics detail aspects of Russian life with a wry, humanistic sense of humor. He is also famous for opposing pop music culture (especially playback performances) for many years. He is often accredited with being the greatest songwriter in present-day Russia. Boris Borisovich Grebenshchikov (russian: link=no, Борис Борисович Гребенщиков; born ) is a prominent member of the generation which is widely considered to be the "founding fathers" of Russian rock music. He is the founder and lead singer of the band Aquarium which has been active from 1972 until today.
