Petr Chlupáč (born 2002) is a speedway rider from the Czech Republic. Speedway career Chlupáč finished 7th in the 2021 European Pairs Speedway Championship, 5th in the 2021 Team Speedway Junior World Championship and competed in the 2021 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship. Also in 2021, he competed as reserve rider in the 2021 Speedway Grand Prix. In 2022, he finished in 7th place during the World Under-21 Championship in the 2022 SGP2. Kolejarz Opole (Railwayman Opole) is a motorcycle speedway team based in Opole, Poland. They currently race in the Polish Speedway Second League (2. Liga). History The club race at the Municipal Speedway Stadium or Mariana Spychała Stadium named after a former rider and coach Mariana Spychała. The speedway track was constructed in 1957. On 5 April 1957 the speedway club was officially founded as Klub Sportowy Kolejarz Opole and made its debut in the Polish leagues in 1961. The club's first honour was winning the Polish Speedway First League in 1969 and they went on to win the league three more times in 1974, 1980, 1987. After their 1969 victory they competed in the highest league and won the bronze medal in 1970. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). The 2021 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the 17th FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The final took place on 10 September 2021, at the Polonia Bydgoszcz Stadium in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The hosts Poland won their 14th Team Under-21 World Championship and eighth in succession. 2021 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship
The 2021 Individual Speedway Under 21 World Championship was the 45th edition of the FIM Individual Under-21 World Championship. It was staged over three rounds, at Stralsund, Krosno and Pardubice. 2021 Speedway Grand Prix
The 2021 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 27th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, and decided the 76th FIM Speedway World Championship. The series was dominated by Polish venues once again with six of the 11 races taking place in Poland. Great Britain and Germany did not hold an event, however Russia was added to the calendar for the first time. In 2020, six of the eight races had been held in Poland. Artem Laguta won his first world title. Laguta overtook defending champion Bartosz Zmarzlik in the points standings in round 10, which proved to be the pivotal moment of the championship. The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. As of 2022, the title was awarded to the winner of the SGP2 category at the FIM Speedway World Championship. 2022 SGP2
The 2022 SGP2 series was the 46th edition of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Individual Speedway Junior World Championship, Individual Under-21 World Championship. It was staged as the SGP2 class of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series after rights holders Discovery Channel, Discovery Sports Events took over promotional rights of the competition prior to the start of the season. The series was staged over three rounds at Prague, Cardiff and Torun. Poland's Mateusz Cierniak won the title, winning two of the three rounds in the process. 2023 Speedway World Cup
The 2023 FIM Speedway World Cup (SWC) was the 18th Speedway World Cup, an international motorcycle speedway world championship tournament organised by the FIM. The 2023 edition was the first since 2017 and took place between 25 July and 29 July 2023 and involved nine national teams. Poland successfully defended their 2017 title defeating Great Britain after a last heat decider. Great Britain trailed Poland by one point going into the final heat and Robert Lambert (who had only dropped one point all night) was positioned in second place with Maciej Janowski in fourth, which meant that Great Britain would take the title. However, Janowski moved into third place, which would send the final into a run-off, but the Pole overtook Lambert on the last lap to claim victory for Poland.
