Petit Séminaire Collège Saint-Martial (founded in 1865),Petit Seminaire College St-Martial Alumni Association Abroad (201"PSCSM-AAA" is an all-boys Catholic school located in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. The school is under the control of the Holy Ghost Fathers. History The Concordat signed by Haiti and the Vatican in 1860 led to the school being established in 1865. Monsigneur Testard du Cosquer, of the Spiritans, acquired rights and devoted it as part of his ministry as an academic and religious school: a young institution in a young country. According to Spencer St. John, the British consul in Haiti, Saint-Martial was the best school in the country. Chibly Langlois (; born 29 November 1958) is a Haitian cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He is bishop of Les Cayes since 15 August 2011, and president of Haiti’s Bishops’ Conference. Pope Francis, on 22 February 2014, elevated Langlois to the College of Cardinals. Langlois is the first Haitian cardinal. He is the only one among the new cardinals at the February 2014 consistory who was not an archbishop. Biography Langlois was born in 1958 in La Vallée in southeast Haiti to a poor family. Langlois entered the Grand Séminaire Notre-Dame of Port-au-Prince in 1985, where he studied philosophy and theology. Philippe Walter Marie Dodard (born 1954) is a Haitian graphic artist and painter. His works have been exhibited throughout Europe and the Americas. Early life and education Dodard was born in Port-au-Prince in 1954. He received the first prize in drawing at the Petit Séminaire Collège Saint-Martial in 1966. He studied at the PotoMitan Art School with Jean-Claude "Tiga" Garoute, Patrick Vilaire and Frido Casimir. In 1973, he entered the Academy of Fine Arts. After working as layout artist and founding a studio of audiovisual graphic arts, in 1978, he received a scholarship to the International School in Bordeaux, France, enabling him to specialize in pedagogic graphic design. Jude Célestin (born June 19, 1962 in Port-au-Prince) is a Haitian politician who was one of two presidential candidates heading off to the second round in the 2015 presidential election race. After an education in Port-au-Prince, Célestin studied mechanical engineering in Switzerland.
