Peter Wong Tung-shun
Peter Wong Tung-shun, JP ( born November 1951, in British Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong banker associated with the HSBC and StanChart. He retired as CEO of HSBC Asia Pacific and became non-executive chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, effective 7 June 2021. He holds a BComm degree from the University of Calgary in Canada, a master’s degree in computer science and another master's degree in marketing and finance from Indiana University in the United States. A justice of the peace (JP) is a judicial officer of a lower or ''puisne'' court, elected or appointed by means of a commission ( letters patent) to keep the peace. Hong Kong National Security Law
The Hong Kong national security law, officially the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, is a piece of national security legislation concerning Hong Kong. It was passed on 30 June 2020 by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress as a means of resolving the anti-extradition bill protests instigated by a bill proposed in 2019 to enable extradition to other territories including the mainland, and came into force the same day.
