Male Bass Guitarists
Male (symbol: ♂) is the sex of an organism that produces the gamete (sex cell) known as sperm, which fuses with the larger female gamete, or ovum, in the process of fertilization. A male organism cannot reproduce sexually without access to at least one ovum from a female, but some organisms can reproduce both sexually and asexually. Most male mammals, including male humans, have a Y chromosome, which codes for the production of larger amounts of testosterone to develop male reproductive organs. Not all species share a common sex-determination system. In most animals, including humans, sex is determined genetically; however, species such as ''Cymothoa exigua'' change sex depending on the number of females present in the vicinity. In humans, the word ''male'' can also be used to refer to gender in the social sense of gender role or gender identity. Overview The existence of separate sexes has evolved independently at different times and in different lineages, an example o ...

Magic Hour (Cast Album)
''Magic Hour'' is the third album by the English band Cast, released in 1999. "Beat Mama" and the title track were both released as singles, and reached number nine and number 28 on the UK Singles Chart respectively. Critical reception Mike DeGagne of AllMusic gave praise to Power's songwriting being "way above 1997's ''Mother Nature Calls''" and his musicianship being "extremely sharp" throughout the track listing, while also highlighting Peter Wilkinson's performance as "more professional and orefocused" than with his other bands, concluding that: "Even though none of the songs can match the strength of " Guiding Star" €¦''Magic Hour'' still stands up as the group's second best recording." In a retrospective review, Jamie Atkins of ''Record Collector'' said the album and its successor ''Beetroot'' showcase a band attempting to "break new ground ..It all just lacks wit, imagination and conviction". Mother Nature Calls
''Mother Nature Calls'' is the second album by the English band Cast, released on 14 April 1997 by Polydor. It spawned four singles: " Free Me", " Guiding Star", "Live the Dream" and " I'm So Lonely". Critical reception AllMusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine was critical of Power's melodies lacking in memorability and his lyrics being "naive and ftenembarassingly simplistic" that the rest of the band can't convey it well, concluding that: "When the tunes and attitude are there, such weaknesses are easy to overlook, but since Cast comes up deficient on both counts, ''Mother Nature Calls'' is simply a dull listen." In a retrospective review, Jamie Atkins of ''Record Collector'' said the album offered "more of the same" as its predecessor, "but considerably duller", bar the "shimmering Guiding Star, one of their better moments". Track listing ;Note * "Dance of the Stars" ends at 6:25. After 13 minutes of silence (6:25–19:25), begins the hidden song "Soul Tied (Piano Loop)". Ltd E ...

It became the highest selling debut album in the history of the Polydor label. A deluxe edition was released in November 2010. Critical reception Roch Parisien of AllMusic found the album to be "the perfect antidote to the inner rage fueling much American alternative rock", praising the production and Power's musicianship for carrying anthemic positivity and exuberant delivery, saying that "Cast transcends the hackneyed expectations of its environment, structure, and genetics through sheer, relentless quality of songcraft and performance." In a retrospective review, Jamie Atkins of ''Record Collector'' said the album "still has the most to offer", highlighting "Alright", "Sandstorm" and "Finetime"; though on tracks such as "Tell It Like It Is" and "Walkaway" "we get strong hints of future disappointments" ...
