Peter Weimer Davison (May 15, 1869 – February 12, 1920) was an American brigadier general during World War I. Early life and education Peter Davison was born on his family's farm near Waupun, Wisconsin on May 15, 1869. Waupun is a city in Dodge County, Wisconsin, Dodge and Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, Fond du Lac counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 11,344 at the 2020 census. Cheyenne ( or ) is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Wyoming, as well as the county seat of Laramie County, with 65,132 residents, per the 2020 US Census. John McAuley Palmer (April 23, 1870 – October 26, 1955) was a soldier and administrator in the United States Army. Early life and start of career Born in Carlinville, Illinois, he was the son of John and Ellen Palmer, and the grandson and namesake of John McAuley Palmer, a famous American Civil War general and Governor of Illinois. Howard Russell Hickok (November 26, 1870 – July 7, 1926) was a United States Army officer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He served in World War I, among other conflicts. Biography Hickok was born on November 26, 1870, in Florida, Missouri. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1892. Hickok was commissioned into the 9th Cavalry Regiment, serving in the Northwestern U.S. and in Arizona and New Mexico. Brigadier General Robert Walter Mearns (July 16, 1866 – May 23, 1949) was a U.S. Army general during World War I. Early life and education Robert Walter Mearns was born on July 16, 1866, in Kemblesville, Pennsylvania, to Andrew James Mearns, a farmer, and Martha Kennedy Mearns. He attended the West Chester Normal School, then entered the United States Military Academy and graduated number sixty-one of sixty-two in the class of 1892, one of thirteen who took five years to complete the requirements. George Blakely (July 5, 1870 – November 16, 1965) was an army officer and an American Brigadier general active during World War I. Early life Blakely was born in Pennsylvania. In 1892 he graduated number four of sixty-two from the United States Military Academy. His younger brother, Charles School Blakely, was also a graduate of the United States Military Academy and later a general. Preston Brown (January 2, 1872 – June 30, 1948) was an American army officer who saw action with the American Expeditionary Forces in World War I.
