Peter Wall is a Ukrainian-born Canadian businessman. He is a property developer in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, who, in the 1990s and 2000s, played a significant and controversial part in the city's real-estate boom. He has been described as "a leading contributor to Vancouver's 'City of Glass' reputation" during a period in which the city's skyline has been transformed, along with its economic and social profile. Rejecting the label "developer", Wall has stated that he "just make some money investing in business ideas and projects". Wall emigrated from Eastern Europe to Canada as a child, shortly after the Second World War. Peter Wall Institute For Advanced Studies
The Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies was founded in 1991 and is the senior research institute at the University of British Columbia. It supports basic research through collaborative, interdisciplinary initiatives. The institute brings together UBC scholars with researchers from around the world "to work together on innovative research, develop new thinking that is beyond disciplinary boundaries, and engage in intellectual risk-taking." Peter Wall (footballer)
Peter Thomas Wall (born 13 September 1944) is an English retired professional footballer who played in England and the United States as a full back. He subsequently became a coach in the United States. Career Playing career Wall was born on 13 September 1944 in Shrewsbury. After leaving education at Pontesbury Secondary Modern School, he signed a professional contract with Shrewsbury Town in 1963, making 18 league appearances during the next two seasons. He signed for Wrexham in 1965, and made 22 league appearances over the next two seasons. Wall moved to Liverpool in 1967, and over the next three seasons made 31 league appearances. Wall then signed for Crystal Palace, where he made 177 league appearances over seven seasons. While at Crystal Palace, Wall spent the 1972–73 season on loan with Leyton Orient. General Sir Peter Anthony Wall, (born 10 July 1955) is a retired British Army officer who served as the Chief of the General Staff, the professional head of the British Army, until September 2014. Wall had previously been the Commander-in-Chief, Land Forces from August 2009 to September 2010.
