Peter Sharp
Peter Sharp (born 16 July 1954) is an Australian professional rugby league coach. He was most recently the interim coach of the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League. Coaching career Sharp has been the head coach of the Northern Eagles and Manly-Warringah from 1999 to 2003. He has also been an assistant coach at the Parramatta Eels, Newcastle Knights and the Melbourne Storm. Sharp signed with Hull F.C. in April 2006, on a two-and-a-half-year contract. He replaced sacked coach John Kear., Sharp left the club in 2008 by mutual consent after the club won only 4 of their opening 14 games of the season. In 2008 he switched to rugby union, joining Ulster as defence coach until September 2009. Sharp joined Cronulla-Sutherland as assistant coach after the end of the 2011 season. John Kear
John Kear (born 25 November 1954) is an English professional rugby league coach who is the head coach of the Widnes Vikings in the Betfred Championship and the Wales national rugby league team. He also works as a pundit for BBC Sport and is a former professional rugby league footballer. He is perhaps best known as a coach for his Challenge Cup successes with Sheffield Eagles in 1998 and Hull in 2005, as well as his time coaching Wakefield Trinity in the late 2000s. James Shepherd (rugby League)
James Shepherd is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer in the National Rugby League in Australia. In 2014, he served briefly as the interim coach of the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks rugby league team following the resignation of Peter Sharp, who was filling in for the suspended Shane Flanagan. Shepherd is currently an Assistant Coach at the St George Illawarra Dragons. Teaching career St Patricks High School at Sutherland Shepherd was a part of the college as a teacher of many subjects, primarily Personal Development, Health and Physical (PDHPE). Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks Supplements Saga
The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks footy supplements saga was a sports controversy which began in 2011. The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, a professional rugby league club playing in the National Rugby League (NRL). The NRL later offered all five players a one-year ban, backdated to an effective six-month suspension, if they pleaded guilty to taking a banned substance. Sports scientist Stephen Dank provided sworn testimony about what involvement he had at Cronulla and which Staff and coaches were involved. Dank publicly admitted to overseeing a regimen that involved the administration of two growth hormone-releasing peptides, CJC-1295 and GHRP-6. Dank has never faced criminal charges in relation to dealing in or administering the aforementioned peptides. Shane Flanagan
Shane Flanagan (born 2 December 1965) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach, and was the Head Coach of the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks. He was appointed assistant coach of NRL team Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in 2006 and was subsequently appointed to the top position when former coach Ricky Stuart resigned on 20 July 2010. Flanagan is currently the Assistant Coach at the St. George Illawarra Dragons and Coaching Director of the Papua New Guinea national rugby league team, PNG Kumuls. Melbourne Storm
The Melbourne Storm are a rugby league club based in Melbourne, Victoria in Australia that participates in the National Rugby League. The first fully professional rugby league team based in the state, the Storm entered the competition in 1998. The Storm were originally a Super League initiative, created in 1997 during the Super League war, however, following the Super League collapse, the team became a part of the newly formed, united competition. The club play their home games at AAMI Park. The Storm have won four premierships since their inception, in 1999, 2012, 2017 and 2020, and have contested several more grand finals, but were stripped of the 2007 and 2009 premierships following salary cap breaches.
