Peter Price (bishop)
Peter Bryan Price (born 17 May 1944) is a retired English Anglican bishop. He was the Bishop of Bath and Wells in the Church of England from 2001 to 30 June 2013. He sat in the House of Lords as one of the Lords Spiritual from 2008 until his retirement. Currently he chairs the board of trustees for the NGO Conciliation Resources. Price attended Oak Hill Theological College. He was ordained a deacon in 1974 and a priest in 1975. He has been chancellor of Southwark Cathedral, the area Bishop of Kingston, the chairman of the Southwark Diocesan Board of Mission and the general secretary of the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (USPG). He was consecrated a bishop on 2 December 1997 at by George Carey, Archbishop of Canterbury. He broadcasts for BBC World Service and Independent Radio in London. Peter Price (politician)
Peter Nicholas Price (born 19 February 1942) is a British politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1979–1994. He was educated at RGS Worcester, Aberdare Boys' Grammar School, the University of Southampton and at King's College London. He served as Conservative MEP for Lancashire West from 1979–1984, and as Conservative MEP for London South East from 1984–1994. He made headlines in 1997 when he became one of the first politicians to change parties from the Conservatives to the Liberal Democrats. He continues to work with both the Liberal Democrat party in Wales and with the European Strategy Council in London. Price trained as a solicitor in London which is still his main profession. From 2002-4 he served on the Richard Commission which proposed increased powers for the National Assembly for Wales, and he has served on various bodies associated with the Assembly. Peter Price (born 17 August 1949 in Wrexham) is a Welsh former professional footballer (soccer player) who played professionally in England during the 1960s and 1970s. Career Early career Price was one of that generation who bridged the gap between terminological eras, beginning his career as an inside forward and ending it as a striker despite playing a similar role throughout. He began his career as a youth at Liverpool, signing a full-time professional contract in 1966. Peter Lawrence Price (the Lizard) (born 04 February 1946) is a British radio presenter best known for his work in Liverpool. He hosted the Sunday night talk radio show ''Pete Price: Unzipped'', which was broadcast across Liverpool sister stations Radio City and Radio City Talk. The show aired live from 10pm to 2am and followed an open forum format. He also had a weeknight phone-in, ''Late Night City'', which aired live between 10 pm and 2 am from Monday to Thursday and was simulcast on Radio City Talk and Radio City 2. In 2017, he announced that he was cutting back his show from five nights a week to just Sunday night. From 2017 to 2020, he hosted ''Pete Price's Sunday Best'' from 10 pm to 1 am every Sunday, where his weekly phone-in guest was Paul McCartney's stepmother Angie, who lives in Los Angeles and provided Hollywood gossip.
