Peter Malone (swimming Coach)
Veronica Malone (formerly Peter Donovan Malone) was a swimming coach from the United States. She served as the head coach and general manager for the Kansas City Blazers Swim Team in Kansas City, Missouri, Kansas City, Kansas & Missouri from 1975 to 2010. Following retirement from coaching, Malone began gender transition, and is now known as Veronica Malone. Accomplishments Malone is a graduate of the University of Toledo in Business Management and also has an Education Degree. Before coaching with the KC Blazers, she was an assistant coach at the Greater Toledo Aquatic Club from 1968 to 1975. ''Swimming World'' is a US-based monthly swimming magazine that was first published in a magazine format as ''Junior Swimmer'' in January 1960. It concurrently runs online websites ''Swimming World Magazine'' and ''Swimming World News'', (known as ''SwimInfo'' prior to 2006). 1999 Pan American Games
The 1999 Pan American Games, officially the XIII Pan American Games or the 13th Pan American Games, was a major international multi-sport event that was held from July 23 to August 8, 1999, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and surrounding towns and cities. Canoeing competitions started the day before the games officially begun. Approximately 5,000 athletes from 42 nations participated at the games. A total of 330 medal events in 34 sports and 42 disciplines. Financially, the 1999 games were a success, generating a surplus of $8.9 million through a combination of fiscal restraint and the contribution of nearly 20,000 volunteers. The American Swimming Coaches Association, or ASCA, is a professional organization for Swimming coaches in the USA. It was founded in 1958 and is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. ASCA provides education opportunities for swimming coaches, including running and participating at clinics both within and outside the USA. Honors and awards Hall of Fame ASCA annually inducts selected coaches into its own Hall of Fame, as part of the annual ASCA World Clinic.
