Peter Lundgren (politician)
Kent Peter Lundgren (born 2 February 1963) is a Swedish politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Sweden. He is a member of the Sweden Democrats, part of European Conservatives and Reformists. Lundgren was elected as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) in the May 2014 European Parliament election in Sweden. He was re-elected Member of the European Parliament in the 2019 European Parliament election in Sweden. In 2022, he left the Sweden Democrats in response to sexual misconduct allegations. Career Lundgren is a former truck driver. He has been a member of the executive board of the Sweden Democrats since November 2013. Lundgren was launched as one of his party's top candidates to the European Parliament on 27 January 2014. On 25 May 2014, Lundgren and Kristina Winberg became the first representatives of the Sweden Democrats to be elected Members of the European Parliament. Gnosjö Municipality
Gnosjö Municipality (''Gnosjö kommun'') is a municipality in Jönköping County, southern Sweden where the town Gnosjö is seat. The Swedish local government reform of 1952 formed this municipality out if five former entities, and it has not been amalgamated with others since then. About half of the municipal population live in Gnosjö town, the rest is spread between smaller localities, and rural areas. Gnosjö is referred to as the centre of the Gnosjö region which is an area of enterprising small industries, driven by the distinctive "Gnosjö Spirit". Day Fine
A day-fine, day fine, unit fine or structured fine is a unit of fine payment that, above a minimum fine, is based on the offender's daily personal income. A crime is punished with incarceration for a determined number of days, or with fines. As incarceration is a financial punishment, in the effect of preventing work, a day-fine represents one day incarcerated and without salary. It is argued to be just, because if both high-income and low-income population are punished with the same jail time, they should also be punished with a proportionally similar income loss. An analogy may be drawn with income tax, which is also proportional to the income, even progressively. Göta Court Of Appeal
The Göta Court of Appeal ( sv, Göta hovrätt), located in Jönköping, is one of the six appellate courts in the Swedish legal system. The court was established in 1634 during the regency of Queen Christina. It is the second oldest of the Swedish courts of appeal, after the Svea Court of Appeal (established in 1614). In the beginning the jurisdiction was Götaland, which in those days also included Värmland. After the second treaty of Brömsebro (1645) and the treaty of Roskilde (1658) the provinces Blekinge, Bohuslän, Halland, and Scania were added. In order to relieve the workload for the Göta court, the Scania and Blekinge Court of Appeal was established in 1820 and the Court of Appeal for Western Sweden in 1948. In 1992 Örebro County was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Göta court.
