Peter Lucas (footballer)
Peter Lucas (23 November 1929 – 16 September 2019) was an Australian rules footballer, who played for Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Peter Lucas was a regular half back flanker in the Collingwood team. His 177 VFL games between 1949 and 1959 included the winning 1958 Grand Final against Melbourne. He was a member of what the historian (and passionate Carlton supporter) Manning Clark Charles Manning Hope Clark, (3 March 1915 – 23 May 1991) was an Australian historian and the author of the best-known general history of Australia, his six-volume ''A History of Australia'', published between 1962 and 1987. Peter Lucas (8 June 1933 – 19 July 2001) was a New Zealand rower. He competed for New Zealand in the 1956 Summer Olympics at Melbourne. He was in the coxed four A coxed four, also known as a 4+, is a rowing boat used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars and is steered by a coxswain.
