Peter Lorenz
Peter Lorenz (22 December 1922 – 6 December 1987) was a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). In 1975 Lorenz was a candidate for mayor of West Berlin. He was kidnapped by the 2 June Movement group three days before the elections on 27 February. The group demanded a release of several imprisoned left-wing militants, including 2 June Movement members Verena Becker and Gabriele Kröcher-Tiedemann as well as Horst Mahler, one of the founders of the Red Army Faction (RAF) and Munich Tupamaros member Rolf Heissler. Although Mahler refused to be exchanged, the other prisoners were set free. After the terrorists had been flown out to Aden, South Yemen, Lorenz was set free on 4 March. He had won the plurality (43.9%) of votes while being absent, nevertheless Klaus Schütz, relying on a coalition of Social Democrats and Free Democrats, remained mayor. Hanns-Martin Schleyer
Hans "Hanns" Martin Schleyer (; 1 May 1915 – 18 October 1977) was a German business executive, and employer and industry representative, who served as President of two powerful commercial organizations, the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (german: Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände, BDA) and the Federation of German Industries (, BDI). Schleyer became a target for radical elements of the German student movement in the 1970s for his role in those business organisations, positions in the labour disputes, aggressive appearance on television, conservative anti-communist views, position as a prominent member of the Christian Democratic Union, and past as an enthusiastic member of the Nazi student movement and a former SS officer. Heinrich Lummer
Heinrich Lummer (21 November 1932 – 15 June 2019) was a German politician and member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Life At the Free University of Berlin, Lummer studied German law and philosophy. He became a member of the German political party Christian Democratic Union. From 1967 to 1987, he was a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin. From 1981 to 1986, Lummer was the senator for the Interior and Sports in Berlin. From 1987 to 1998 he was a member of the Bundestag. He was considered to be a conservative hardliner, an exponent of the right wing of his party, oftentimes even as part of the fringe right. Especially later in his life, he subscribed to several far-right conspiracy theories, such as the idea that immigration into Germany was part of a grand pland to destroy the german nation.
