Inhibodress
Mike Parr is an Australian performance artist and printmaker. Parr's works have been exhibited in Australia and internationally, including in Brazil, Cuba, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the United States. In the 1970s, he co-founded the artist cooperative Inhibodress with Peter Kennedy and Tim Johnson. Early life and education Parr spent his childhood in rural Queensland. He is the brother of installation/photography artist, Julie Rrap (formerly Julie Brown-Rrap). He was born with a misshapen arm, and this physical characteristic has featured within his art work. Parr commenced an arts/law degree at the University of Queensland in 1965, but discontinued his studies the following year. He moved to Sydney and, in 1968, briefly enrolled at the National Art School to study painting. Peter Kennedy was New Zealand Ambassador to South Korea from 1993 to 1995, following three years as foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Jim Bolger. During this period Korean visitors to New Zealand jumped from 27,300 to 104,400 (reaching a peak of 127,400 in 1996). He was later New Zealand Ambassador to the EU, NATO, Belgium and Luxembourg from 2007 until August 2011. Whilst in Brussels, he was cross accredited as Ambassador to Romania and became New Zealand's first Ambassador to Bulgaria. In his NATO capacity he undertook an official visit to Afghanistan with other NATO/ISAF ambassadors in 2009. As Ambassador to the EU he was instrumental in beginning the process that led to the EU/NZ Free Trade Agreement concluded in June 2022. Peter Douglas Kennedy (18 November 1922 – 10 June 2006) was an influential English folklorist and folk song collector throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Family and upbringing Peter Kennedy was born and raised in London, and educated at Leighton Park, a Quaker school in Reading. Peter's father, Douglas Kennedy (1893–1988), was EFDSS director after Cecil Sharp, and his mother Helen, was founding secretary of EFDSS and the sister of Cecil Sharp's amanuensis Maud Karpeles. His great-aunt was Marjory Kennedy-Fraser, folk song collector and author, and his great-grandfather, David Kennedy, was a famous Scottish singer. The Kennedys are an American folk-rock band, consisting of husband and wife Pete and Maura Kennedy. They are recognized for their harmonies and instrumental prowess, blending elements of country music, bluegrass, Western swing and janglepop. Peter Kennedy (born 10 September 1973) is a Northern Irish former professional footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. In 1995/96, he was named as the Ulster Footballer of the Year. He formerly served as the administrator of St. Mary's Catholic Church, South Brisbane, but was removed from his position following complaints that the church was not observing standard Roman Catholic teachings and practices.
