Peter Kavanagh (footballer)
Peter Kavanagh (1910–15 February 1993) was an Irish footballer who played for, among others, Bohemians and Celtic. Kavanagh was a dual internationalist and played for both Ireland teams – the IFA XI and the FAI XI. After leaving Celtic, Kavanagh had spells with several clubs before finishing his career with a works team prior to the Second World War. He eventually settled in Glasgow where he died on 15 February 1993. Club career Bohemians Kavanagh played junior football in the Drumcondra area of Dublin before signing for Bohemians in 1927. Bohs manager, an ex- Rangers player, Bobby Parker, put the teenage Kavanagh straight into the first team. Together with Jack McCarthy, Harry Cannon, Jimmy White, Jimmy Bermingham, Jeremiah Robinson and Christy Robinson, he was a prominent member of the successful amateur Bohs team during the late 1920s. Dublin

The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. History This enterprise, according to its founders, was created in January 1994 by three regulars of the Rec.Sport.Soccer (RSS) Usenet newsgroup: Lars Aarhus, Kent Hedlundh, and Karel Stokkermans. League Of Ireland Shield
The League of Ireland Shield ( ga, Sciath Sraithe na hÉireann) is a defunct Irish football tournament which was introduced when the League of Ireland started in 1921 and ran uninterrupted until 1972. It was played before the league season began and was seen as the third most important trophy in Irish football, after the league and FAI Cup. The winners of the Shield gained entry to the following season's Inter-Cities Fairs Cup until 1971–72. It was played in a variety of formats; from complete round robin series to group stages followed by knock out games to complete knock out tournaments. It was replaced by the League of Ireland Cup in 1973, though returned for one season in 1983–84. The LOI Shield should not be confused with the League of Ireland First Division Shield, a competition that ran in the 1980s and 1990s and, as the name suggests, was confined to First Division clubs. The Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup (FAI Cup), known as the Extra.ie FAI Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out association football competition contested annually by teams from the Republic of Ireland (as well as Derry City from Northern Ireland). Organised by the FAI ( Football Association of Ireland), the competition is currently sponsored by '' Extra.ie''. It was known as the Free State Cup from 1923 to 1936. The League of Ireland ( ga, Sraith na hÉireann), together with the Football Association of Ireland, is one of the two main governing bodies responsible for organising association football in the Republic of Ireland. The term was originally used to refer to a single division league. However today the League of Ireland features five divisions – the Premier Division, the First Division, U19 Division, U17 Division, U15 Division and starting U13 Division. Christy Robinson
Christopher "Christy" Robinson (1902 – 21 February 1954) was an Republic of Ireland, Irish soccer player during the 1920s and 1930s. Robinson was a skilful inside forward during this era in the League of Ireland and was part of the All-Conquering Bohemian FC, Bohemians team of 1927/28 who won every trophy on offer that season – League of Ireland, FAI Cup, League of Ireland Shield, Shield and Leinster Senior Cup (football), Leinster Senior Cup. Jeremiah Robinson was an Irish soccer player during the 1920s and 1930s. He was also known as "Sam". Jimmy White (Irish Footballer)
Jimmy White was an Irish footballer who played as a forward during the 1920s and 1930s. Bohemians White was a number 9 during this era in the League of Ireland and spent most of his career with Bohemians whom he joined in 1923. Jimmy made his way up from Bohs "C" team to make his debut in August 1926 against Fordsons. True to form, it was a scoring debut as he netted in a 2–1 win for Bohs. He was part of the All-Conquering Bohemian team of 1927–28 who won every trophy on offer that season - League of Ireland, FAI Cup, League of Ireland Shield and Leinster Senior Cup. He scored 11 goals in 15 league games that season and a total of 24 strikes in 29 appearances in all competitions. Harry Cannon
Henry James Cannon (11 July 1897 – 16 March 1944) was an Irish football player during the 1920s and 1930s. Bohemians Cannon was a goalkeeper during this era in the League of Ireland and spent most of his career with Bohemians. He captained the All-Conquering Bohemians team of 1927/28 who won every trophy on offer that season - League of Ireland, FAI Cup, League of Ireland Shield and Leinster Senior Cup. Harry spent the best part of a decade with Bohs picking up numerous medals along the way. Jack McCarthy (Irish Footballer)
Jack McCarthy (born c. 1898 – 10 March 1958) was an Irish footballer who played for Bohemians in the League of Ireland during the 1920s and 1930s. As an international McCarthy also represented both Ireland teams. He played as a senior for the FAI XI and as an amateur for the IFA XI. He remained an amateur player throughout his career. Bohemians During the 1923–24 season, McCarthy helped Bohemians win their first ever League of Ireland title. Bohs won the title after winning 15 successive league games. Other members of the team included Bertie Kerr, Johnny McIlroy, Billy Otto, Christy Robinson, Dave Roberts and Johnny Murray. Bobby Parker (Scottish Footballer)
Robert Norris Parker (27 March 1891 – 1950) was a Scottish professional footballer whose position was centre forward. He played professionally in Scotland with Rangers and Morton and in England with Everton and Nottingham Forest during a career interrupted by World War I, in which he was seriously injured. He later served as manager of Fraserburgh in Scotland and Bohemians in Ireland. Playing career Born in Glasgow, Parker started his career with Junior team Ashfield, followed by three seasons at Rangers, during which he had a scoring record of a goal every game but was always a backup to the equally prolific Willie Reid; Rangers won the Scottish Football League title in each of those years, but it is unclear if Parker was awarded any medals, having only featured in 2, 3 and 9 of the fixtures respectively.
