Peter Karmis
Peter Karmis (born 10 June 1981) is a Greek-South African professional golfer. Since July 2018, he has played under the Greek flag. In 2009 he became the first player in Sunshine Tour history to record a round of 59. Career Karmis played college golf at Purdue University. Karmis plays on the Sunshine Tour where he has won five times. He won the Lombard Insurance Classic in 2007 and 2009, the Sun Sibaya Challenge in 2016. In 2017, he won the Investec Royal Swazi Open and the Sun City Challenge. Karmis also played on the Asian Tour from 2010 to 2012, highlighted by winning the Handa Singapore Classic in 2010. Springbok, Northern Cape
Springbok is the largest town in the Namaqualand area in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It was called Springbokfontein until 1911, when it was shortened to Springbok. Springbok is located on the N7 road (South Africa), N7 national route (South Africa), national route which connects the Cape with Namibia, and at the western end of the N14 road (South Africa), N14, which connects it with Upington and Pretoria. It is the main town of the Nama Khoi Local Municipality, which also includes a number of surrounding towns such as Okiep and Nababeep. Tongoona Charamba
Tongoona "TC" Charamba (born 2 February 1982) is a professional golfer from Zimbabwe. Charamba was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. He won 12 amateur tournaments, including the Zimbabwe Amateur Matchplay and Stokeplay Championships in 2002, and led the Zimbabwe Order of Merit from 2000 to 2002, before turning professional in 2003. Charamba became just the third black golfer to win on the Sunshine Tour when he claimed the SAA Pro-Am Invitational in 2006. In 2008, he won the MTC Namibia PGA Championship and finished a career best 27th on the Sunshine Tour Order of Merit. He has made more than R1,000,000 (around €90,000 or US$125,000) in total earnings on the tour. 2023–24 Sunshine Tour
The 2023–24 Sunshine Tour is the 53rd season of the Sunshine Tour (formerly the Southern Africa Tour), the main professional golf tour in South Africa since it was formed in 1971. Changes for 2023–24 The full 2023–24 schedule was announced in May 2023 and was originally intended to have 32 tournaments, and include co-sanctioned tournaments with the European Tour and Challenge Tour. Notably, the Zanaco Masters returned to the schedule, having not been played on the Sunshine Tour since 2019. Jake Roos
Jake Roos (born 20 October 1980) is a South African professional golfer. Roos was born in Pretoria. He was the number one ranked South African amateur golfer before turning professional in 2005 and then joined the Sunshine Tour by finishing 4th at Q-school. His first victory came at the 2008 Suncoast Classic. His second victory came the following year at the Nedbank Affinity Cup. In 2012, Roos picked up his third victory on Tour at the Platinum Classic after he defeated Chris Swanepoel and Anthony Michael on the fifth hole of a sudden-death playoff. He picked up his second Sunshine Tour victory of the year in June at the Lombard Insurance Classic after defeating Justin Harding in a playoff. Oliver Bekker (born 11 December 1984) is a South African professional golfer. Professional career Bekker plays on the Sunshine Tour where he has won seven times. He won the 2011 Northern Cape Classic, the 2012 Dimension Data Pro-Am, the 2013 Telkom PGA Pro-Am and the 2016 Sun City Challenge. He won three times in 2017, the Zambia Sugar Open, the Lombard Insurance Classic, and the Sun Wild Coast Sun Challenge. In April 2021, Bekker lost in a four-man playoff at the Limpopo Championship.
