Peter Johnson (ice Hockey Coach)
Peter Johnson (born May 31, 1959) is an American ice hockey coach and scout. Early life Johnson is the son of Hall of Fame coach Bob Johnson and brother of Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey coach Mark Johnson. He attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he played on the men's ice hockey team and was a member of the 1981 National Championship team. Later, he played on the United States men's national ice hockey team at the 1982 World Ice Hockey Championships in Helsinki. Career Johnson's first coaching experience was with the Bowling Green Falcons men's ice hockey team, where he was a member of the 1984 National Championship team. From 1985 to 1988, he was an assistant coach with the Cornell Big Red men's ice hockey team. Johnson joined the Wisconsin Badgers men's ice hockey team as an assistant coach in 1988 and was a member of the 1990 National Championship team. Madison is the county seat of Dane County and the capital city of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Cornell Big Red Men's Ice Hockey
The Cornell Big Red men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Cornell University. Cornell competes in the ECAC Hockey conference and plays its home games at Lynah Rink in Ithaca, New York. Six of the eight Ivy League schools sponsor men's hockey and all six teams play in the 12-team ECAC. The Ivy League crowns a champion based on the results of the games played between its members during the ECAC season. Cornell has won the ECAC Championship a record 12 times and has won the Ivy League Title 24 times (20 outright, four tied), second to Harvard's 25 (21 outright, four tied). The 1970 Cornell Hockey team, coached by Ned Harkness was the first (and currently only team) in NCAA hockey history to win a national title while being undefeated and untied with a perfect 29–0–0 record.
