Peter Hart (footballer)
Peter Osborne Hart (born 14 August 1957 in Mexborough) is an English former footballer who played mainly as a defender. He made 600 appearances in the Football League playing for Huddersfield Town and Walsall. Hart holds the record for the youngest debutant for Huddersfield Town, having made his debut aged 16 years and 229 days against Southend United in 1974. He played for Huddersfield in the final of the 1974 FA Youth Cup, and captained the club to the Fourth Division title in 1980. He then moved to Walsall, helped them reach the semi-final of the 1983–84 Football League Cup, and captained the side to promotion to the Second Division via the play-offs in 1988. Peter Hart (historian)
Peter Hart (11 November 1963 – 22 July 2010) was a Canadian historian, specializing in modern Irish history. Life Hart was born and raised in St. John's, Newfoundland. He studied for one year at the Memorial University of Newfoundland before moving to study at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He graduated from there with an Honours BA degree. Subsequently, Hart completed a master's degree in International Relations at Yale University. He then moved to Ireland to do PhD work at Trinity College, Dublin. His thesis was on the Irish Republican Army in County Cork, an epicenter of the Irish War of Independence, which was the basis of his first book, ''The IRA and its Enemies''. After completing his doctorate, Hart accepted a five-year teaching and research position at Queen's University Belfast. Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR) is a progressive left-leaning media critique organization based in New York City. The organization was founded in 1986 by Jeff Cohen and Martin A. Lee. FAIR monitors American news media for bias, inaccuracies and censorship, and advocates for more diversity of perspectives in the news media. FAIR describes itself as "the national media watch group". FAIR publishes ''Extra!'', a magazine of media criticism, and also produces the radio program ''CounterSpin'', which features interviews with journalists, scholars, and activists on current media-related news stories. Peter Hart (military Historian)
Peter Hart (born 10 January 1955, in Weardale, England) is a British military historian. Biography Hart grew up in Stanhope and Barton-under-Needwood. He attended school in Chesterfield, Derbyshire (1967–73) and Liverpool University (1973–76). He then undertook a post-graduate teaching course at Crewe & Alsager College (1976–77), and lastly a post-graduate librarianship at Liverpool Polytechnic (1979–80). He was an oral historian at the Sound Archive of the Imperial War Museum in London from 1981 to January 2020. Works Hart has written mainly on British participation in the First World War. His books include; '' The Somme, Jutland 1916, Bloody April'' on the air war in 1917, ''Passchendaele, Aces Falling'' (on the air war in 1918), ''1918 A Very British Victory and Gallipoli''.
