Peter Gerety
Peter Gerety (born May 17, 1940) is an American actor. He is best known as Judge Daniel Phelan in ''The Wire'' (2002–2008). Career Gerety is a veteran of stage, screen and television. In early 1992, he performed to critical acclaim on Broadway in '' Conversations with My Father'', starring Judd Hirsch, and in Harold Pinter's '' Hothouse''. He has since performed in many more plays both on and off-Broadway, most recently in Martin McDonagh's ''The Lieutenant of Inishmore''. In the late 1990s, he joined the cast of the Barry Levinson produced NBC police drama '' Homicide: Life on the Street.'' He played FBI Agt. Franklin Morgan in the short-lived American adaptation of ''Life on Mars''. In the final season of ''Brotherhood'' as Martin Kilpatrick. Providence is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. Nora Ephron ( ; May 19, 1941 – June 26, 2012) was an American journalist, writer, and filmmaker. ''Get the Gringo'' (also known as ''How I Spent My Summer Vacation'') is a 2012 American action film directed by Adrian Grunberg, produced, co-written by and starring Mel Gibson. Plot The film opens with a getaway driver and his wounded accomplice dressed as clowns fleeing from American Border Patrol toward the Mexican border. The driver crashes through the border fence, whereupon he is arrested by corrupt Mexican police officers Vasquez and Romero. When they find over $2 million in the back seat of the car, they imprison him in El Pueblito prison under false charges, keep the cash for themselves, and cremate his dead accomplice. Louis Piquett
Louis Piquett (September 24, 1880 – December 12, 1951) was an American lawyer notable for defending John Dillinger. He was also a prosecutor for the city of Chicago. Early career Piquett was a former bartender active in Chicago Democratic politics. He studied law in night school. By 1915, he was chief clerk to the city prosecutor of Chicago. In the early 1920s, he was appointed city prosecutor by Mayor William Hale Thompson. He was indicted in 1923 on corruption charges, which were subsequently dropped. By the summer of 1923, Piquett was in private practice in Chicago. In August 1923, for instance, he represented James J. McGrath, who owned films showing a boxing match between Tommy Gibbons and Jack Dempsey. Piquett won a decision from the circuit court which stated that the films were neither immoral nor obscene, and enjoined the police from interfering with their exhibition.
