Peter E. Berger
Peter Edward Berger (May 30, 1944 – September 22, 2011) was an American film editor with about fifty feature and television film credits. He is known for editing films such as ''Mommie Dearest'' (1981), four films in the ''Star Trek'' series (from '' Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home'' (1986) through '' Star Trek: Insurrection'' (1998)), '' Fatal Attraction'' (1987), and ''Coach Carter'' (2005). His last credit was for the television biopic '' Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story'' (2009). It was his sixth collaboration with director Thomas Carter. With Michael Kahn, Berger won the 1989 BAFTA Award for Best Editing for '' Fatal Attraction'', and they were nominated for the Academy Award and the American Cinema Editors Eddie for the film. ''Staying Alive'' is a 1983 American dance musical film and the sequel to ''Saturday Night Fever'' (1977). ''Monsignor'' is a 1982 American drama film directed by Frank Perry about a Roman Catholic priest's rise through the ranks of the Vatican, during and after World War II. Along the way, he involves the Vatican in the black marketeering operations of a Mafia don, and has an affair with a woman in the postulant stage of becoming a nun. He eventually repents and returns to his faith, attempting to make right the things he has done wrong. The cast includes Christopher Reeve, Geneviève Bujold, Fernando Rey, Jason Miller, Joseph Cortese, Adolfo Celi, and Leonardo Cimino. The Skatebirds
''The Skatebirds'' (onscreen title: ''Skatebirds'') is an American live-action/animated package program produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and broadcast on CBS from September 10, 1977, to January 21, 1978. Overview The Skatebirds consisted of three large costumed birds on roller skates: Knock-Knock, a woodpecker (voiced by Lennie Weinrib); Satchel, a pelican (voiced by Bob Holt) and Scooter, a penguin (voiced by Don Messick). Their nemesis was a cat named Scat Cat (voiced by Scatman Crothers).
