Peter Daniel (Australian Footballer)
Peter Russell Daniel (born 17 September 1947) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Daniel spent most of 1968 in the Essendon reserves, where he played in a premiership team. The Woori Yallock recruit featured more prominently in 1969 and kicked 32 goals, including a couple of six goal hauls. In the subsequent seasons he was used mainly as a full-back. At Moorabbin Oval, against St Kilda, late in the 1974 VFL season, Daniel made his 100th and last league appearance. It was also the debut of future Essendon 378 gamer Simon Madden. He was appointed captain-coach of Northern Tasmanian Football Association club North Launceston in 1975 and steered them to five premierships. Peter Daniel (footballer, Born 1955)
Peter William Daniel (born 12 December 1955 in Hull) is an English former professional football player and now club manager. He is currently manager of non-league side Brigg Town. Career Daniel joined his local club Hull City on schoolboy forms in 1969, becoming an apprentice in 1971, and finally turning professional in September 1973. He played five seasons at Boothferry Park in the Second Division. He played seven times for the England Under 21 side while with Hull, making his debut on 27 April 1977 in a 1–0 win over Scotland U21 at Bramall Lane. In May 1978, he was transferred to First Division Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of £182,000. Here, he was converted from a full-back into a defensive midfielder and won a League Cup winners' medal in 1980, gaining an assist in the goal that defeated Nottingham Forest. Peter Daniel (footballer, Born 1946)
Peter Aylmer Daniel (born 22 December 1946) is a former professional footballer, most notable for his 14-year association with English football club Derby County. Although primarily utilised as a centre-back throughout his career, Daniel could also fulfill the role of full-back when required. Derby County Daniel signed his first professional contract with Derby County in December 1964, having joined as an apprentice in August the previous year. He made his professional debut on 2 October 1965 in a 2–1 victory over Bristol City at the Baseball Ground and impressed manager Tim Ward enough to retain his first team place for the remainder of Ward's reign. However, a disappointing 17th-place finish in the 1966-67 season cost Ward his job and he was replaced by Brian Clough. Clough instantly purged the Derby squad to mould the team to his desire, with Daniel one of only five players who remained with the club. Peter Vivian Daniel
Peter Vivian Daniel (April 24, 1784 – May 31, 1860) was an American jurist who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Early life and education Daniel was born in 1784 at "Crow's Nest", a plantation in Stafford County, Virginia, to the former Frances Moncure (of the First Families of Virginia) and her plantation-owning husband Travers Daniel, who began serving the first of several terms in the Virginia House of Delegates in 1790. This boy was named to honor his paternal grandfather. He was descended from Raleigh Travers, who had twice served in the House of Burgesses representing Lancaster County, Virginia before resigning in 1670. Private tutors educated Daniel at home before he entered the College of New Jersey (now Princeton) at the age of 18.
