Peter Dalwood
Peter Anstey Dalwood (17 June 1922 – 22 May 2000) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Norwood in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of Alfred Lionel Dalwood (1897-1991), and Lillian Jane Dalwood (1897-1984), née Anstey-Harris, Peter Anstey Dalwood was born at Toorak Gardens, South Australia on 17 June 1922. He married Iris May Bell (1924-) in Adelaide on 19 January 1946. Education He was educated at Adelaide's Prince Alfred College; and, while there, he excelled as a schoolboy cricketer, hurdler and track-and-field athlete, and footballer. Toorak Gardens is a leafy, mainly residential inner eastern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, located 2 km east of the Adelaide city centre. This is one of South Australia’s most expensive suburbs. It is characterised by tree-lined streets and detached single story villas and bungalows built in the 1920s and 1930s on allotments of around 0.25 acres (0.1 hectares). Zillmere Eagles Australian Football Club (formerly Windsor-Zillmere, North Brisbane and Northern Eagles) is an Australian rules football club based in the suburb of Zillmere in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. The team plays in the QAFA Division 4. It reformed the senior side in 2013 and it was undefeated all year in the SEQAFL State Div 4 northern competition. Jack Oatey
Jack Oatey (29 August 1920 – 26 February 1994) was an Australian rules football player and coach. Playing career Oatey played 181 games for the Norwood Football Club between 1940 and 1952 and acted as playing-coach from 1945 to 1952. While on service for World War II in 1944, he played 5 games for the South Melbourne Football Club. Coaching career Following his retirement from playing in 1952, Oatey remained the coach of Norwood until 1956. In 1957, Oatey moved to West Adelaide where he coached until 1960, reaching the finals each year but never winning the premiership. Not involved in coaching at any team in 1961, Oatey saw the Bloods win the SANFL premiership, convincing him to return to the league. He went to Sturt, coaching there from 1962 to 1982, and leading the league team to seven SANFL Premierships (a record at the time) including the famous five in a row from 1966 to 1970.
