Peter Clay Carroll (born September 15, 1951) is an American football coach who is the head coach and executive vice president for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the head football coach at USC Trojans football, USC from 2000 to 2009, where he won six bowl games and back to back National Championships in 2003 USC Trojans football team, 2003 and 2005 Orange Bowl, 2004. Beginning his head coaching career on the professional level, Carroll saw minimal success with the New York Jets in 1994 and New England Patriots from 1997 to 1999. Shifting to college football with USC, he revitalized the struggling program into a top-ranked contender. Carroll's collegiate success prompted an NFL return in 2010 when he was hired as the head coach of Seattle. Peter Carroll (born 7 March 1932) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s. Playing career Carroll played seven seasons for St. George between 1951-1958. He won two premierships with St. George, playing five-eighth in the 1956 Grand Final and the 1957 Grand Final. He retired at the end of the 1958 season. Peter Robert Carroll (born 7 November 1941) is an Australian former first-class cricketer and rugby union player. Carroll was born at the Sydney suburb of Mosman in November 1941. He later studied as a mature student in England at Mansfield College at the University of Oxford. While studying at Oxford, he played first-class cricket for Oxford University from 1969–71, making fourteen appearances. Carroll scored 403 runs in his fourteen matches, at an average of 16.12 and a high score of 60 not out, his only first-class half century. Besides playing first-class cricket, Carroll also played rugby union as a fullback at domestic level in both Australia and England. His teams at domestic level included Northern Suburbs in Australia and Harlequins and Oxford University. Peter Joseph Carril (July 10, 1930 – August 15, 2022) was an American basketball coach. He is best known as head coach of Princeton University for 30 years and for his use of the "Princeton offense". He also coached at Lehigh University and as an assistant with the Sacramento Kings in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life Pedro José Carril was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on July 10, 1930. His father, an immigrant from Spain, was employed as a steelworker at Bethlehem Steel for four decades and brought up his son as a single father. Carril attended Liberty High School in his hometown, where he was an all-state selection for Pennsylvania. He then studied at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, playing college basketball for the Lafayette Leopards under Butch Van Breda Kolff.
