Peter Aitchison
Peter Munro Aitchison (19 September 1931 – 11 August 2022) was an English Association football, footballer who played as a Midfielder#Winger, winger in the Football League for Colchester United F.C., Colchester United. His younger brother Barrie Aitchison, Barrie also played professionally for Colchester. Career Born in Harlow, Aitchison signed for Colchester United F.C., Colchester United in August 1950 and signed a professional contract a year later, making his professional debut whilst still on Conscription in the United Kingdom, national service. In the game against Gillingham F.C., Gillingham on Christmas Day in 1951, Aitchison scored 17 minutes into his debut as the U's went on to record a 2–1 victory. Ironically, Aitchison's final professional goal came the following day in the reverse fixture against Gillingham as Colchester recorded a 1–0 victory at Layer Road. Harlow
Harlow is a large town and local government district located in the west of Essex, England. Founded as a new town, it is situated on the border with Hertfordshire and London, Harlow occupies a large area of land on the south bank of the upper Stort Valley, which has been made navigable through other towns and features a canal section near its watermill.
