Pete King (composer)
Pete King (also C. Dudley King; August 8, 1914 in Ohio – September 21, 1982) was an American music composer and arranger of easy listening music and film soundtracks. He studied music at the Cincinnati Conservatory and the University of Michigan. He was elected president of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 1967. King conducted orchestras for a variety of Hollywood films including adapting the works of Edvard Grieg for ''The Pied Piper of Hamelin'' and two comedies '' The Family Jewels'' and ''The Last of the Secret Agents''. King's arrangements and cues were heard often in the American television series ''Happy Days'' and ''The Brady Bunch''. With his own Pete King Chorale he recorded, among other songs, " Hey, Look Me Over". Peter King is a judge and former Unionist politician in Northern Ireland. King is a member of the Bar of England and Wales (Gray's Inn 1993), the Bar of Northern Ireland (1994) and the Bar of Ireland (2009), and was an active member of the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP).Dean Godson, ''Himself Alone: David Trimble and the Ordeal of Unionism'', p.298 He headed the party list in South Antrim for the 1996 Northern Ireland Forum election, and was easily elected. Peter King (British Army Officer)
Peter Frank King (30 October 1916 – 12 December 1962) was a British Commando in World War II, who was commissioned in the field and awarded the Military Cross. He also served in Korea with the New Zealand Army, being awarded the Distinguished Service Order in 1951. King died in a car accident in 1962. Early life Peter King was born in Caxton, Cambridgeshire; his parents were William Edgar King, a master builder, and his wife, Hilda May Pleasants. He was educated at Truro School. World War II service King joined the Dental Corps in March 1939 and served as a non-technician, excelling as a weapons instructor. Peter King (born 1983) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played as a left corner-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Ballina, County Tipperary, King first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior panel during the 2005 championship. King immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one Tommy Murphy Cup medal. Peter Charles King (born 3 April 1943) is an English former professional footballer. He played his entire professional career at Cardiff City, making over 400 appearances in a fourteen-year spell between 1960 and 1974 putting him in the top five players with most appearances for the club. Peter Stephen George King (23 August 1929; Bow, London – 20 December 2009) was a British jazz tenor saxophonist. He was the manager of London's Ronnie Scott's jazz club for almost fifty years. Biography King's first professional work was with Jiver Hutchinson in 1947, before going on to join the bands of Kenny Graham, Teddy Foster, and Leon Roy. In 1948, he was first tenor in George Evans' Saxes ‘n’ Sevens with Tony Arnopp, Kenny Clare and Les Evans. He played with Oscar Rabin 1948–50 and Kathy Stobart 1950–52. In September 1952 he recorded with the Ronnie Scott Quintet, which also included Dill Jones, Lennie Bush, and Tony Crombie.
