Petar Vukićević (born August 7, 1956) is a Serbian former hurdler who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1980 Summer Olympics in 110m hurdles finishing 8th in semi final heat. Hurdling
Hurdling is the act of jumping over an obstacle at a high speed or in a sprint. In the early 19th century, hurdlers ran at and jumped over each hurdle (sometimes known as 'burgles'), landing on both feet and checking their forward motion. Today, the dominant step patterns are the 3-step for high hurdles, 7-step for low hurdles, and 15-step for intermediate hurdles. Hurdling is a highly specialized form of obstacle racing, and is part of the sport of athletics. In hurdling events, barriers known as hurdles are set at precisely measured heights and distances. Each athlete must pass over the hurdles; passing under or intentionally knocking over hurdles will result in disqualification. The 1980 Summer Olympics (russian: Летние Олимпийские игры 1980, Letniye Olimpiyskiye igry 1980), officially known as the Games of the XXII Olympiad (russian: Игры XXII Олимпиады, Igry XXII Olimpiady) and commonly known as Moscow 1980 (russian: link=no, Москва 1980), were an international multi-sport event held from 19 July to 3 August 1980 in Moscow, Soviet Union, in present-day Russia. Christina Vukicevic
Ljubica Christina Vukicevic Demidov ( sr, Ljubica Kristina Vukićević, Љубица Кристина Вукићевић, ; born 18 June 1987) is a Norwegian former hurdler. She represented Ski IL, and was coached by her father Petar Vukićević, who participated for Yugoslavia in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Her brother, Vladimir Vukicevic, is also a hurdler. Her gold medal in the 2003 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival in Paris was her first international medal. She finished fifth at the 2004 World Junior Championships, and won a silver medal at the 2005 European Junior Championships in Kaunas. She was forced to take a prolonged break during the summer of 2005 due to a knee-injury and the following surgery. At the 2006 World Junior Championships she took the silver medal with the time 13.34 seconds, a national junior record. Vladimir Vukicevic (athlete)
Vladimir Vukicevic (born 6 May 1991) is a Norwegian hurdler. He won a silver medal in the 110 metres hurdles at the 2010 World Junior Championships. He is coached by his father, Petar Vukićević, a 1980 Olympic hurdler. Vladimir's sister, Christina Vukicevic, also competed in the sprint hurdles. His personal bests are 13.42 seconds in the 110 metres hurdles (+1.7 m/s, La Chaux-de-Fonds 2021) and 7.69 seconds in the 60 metres hurdles (Gothenburg 2013).
