Perth High School
Perth High School is a six-year, non-denominational comprehensive secondary school in Perth, Scotland. Established in 1950 at Gowans Terrace in a post-war prefabricated structure of a type that had not previously been used for any large school in Scotland. The school relocated to its present location in 1971, two years after the opening in 1969 of the adjacent Oakbank Primary School. It stands in extensive grounds occupying a position on a hill overlooking Oakbank Road and Viewlands Road West. School building The building consists of a complex centred on a four-storey main teaching block. The school gives particular emphasis to environmental issues and the grounds contain a number of specialised environmental project areas. In 2019, the school's proposal for a new building went through, and construction will begin in 2023. Perth and Kinross Council ( gd, Comhairle Pheairt is Cheann Rois) is the local government council for the Perth and Kinross council area of Scotland. It employs around 6,000 people. The council was created in 1996, under the ''Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994'', when the Tayside region was divided between three new unitary council areas: Perth and Kinross, Angus, and Dundee City. The current Perth and Kinross council headquarters are located in Perth at 2 High Street, at Tay Street, although many public enquiries and council services are handled from the nearby Pullar House at 36 Mill Street, the former business premises of J. Liam Gordon (footballer, Born 1996)
Liam Craig Gordon (born 26 January 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Scottish Premiership club St Johnstone. Career Gordon played for Dundee and Raith Rovers at youth level before John McGlynn took him to Hearts on a three-year contract, spending six months on loan at Arbroath during the 2014–15 season in the process. He signed for his boyhood heroes St Johnstone in 2015, moving on loan to Elgin City shortly afterwards. He made his debut for St Johnstone in May 2016, starting in a 2–2 draw against Hearts. In January 2017, Gordon, along with fellow Saints defender Aaron Comrie, moved on loan to Scottish League One side Peterhead until the end of the 2016–17 season.
