Pertevniyal Spor Kulübü, more commonly known as Pertevniyal, is a Turkish professional basketball club that is based in Istanbul, and which plays in the Turkish 2nd-tier level Turkish Basketball League (TBL). The club's home arena is Ahmet Cömert Sport Hall, which has a capacity of 3,500 seats. History Pertevniyal was founded by Pertevniyal High School's teachers and students in 1968. Pertevniyal was the feeder club of Anadolu Efes through the year 2016. The Turkish Basketball First League, also called TBL, is the second-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously known as Turkish Basketball Second League (TB2L). Format and promotion and relegation There are a total of 16 teams participating in the league for the ''2019–20 TBL season''. Each team plays each other in their group twice during the regular season. Team finishes at first place promotes to the top-tier level Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) for the next season, teams ranked 2nd place to 9th place, compete in playoff format and winner of the playoff also promotes. Cedi Osman (born 8 April 1995) is a Turkish professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the small forward position. Early years Osman was born in Ohrid, Macedonia, modern-day North Macedonia to a Turkish father and a Bosniak mother (from Novi Pazar, Serbia). He has an older brother, Caner, who is also a basketball player. He started playing basketball with KK Bosna's youth teams in 2001. Orhan Ghazi ( ota, اورخان غازی; tr, Orhan Gazi, also spelled Orkhan, 1281 – March 1362) was the second bey of the Ottoman Beylik from 1323/4 to 1362. He was born in Söğüt, as the son of Osman I. Okben Ulubay (born May 25, 1996) is a Turkish professional basketball player for Beşiktaş Emlakjet of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He mainly plays the small forward position, but he also has the ability to play as a shooting guard. Early career Ulubay started playing basketball with the youth academies of the Turkish club, Efes Istanbul when he was five.
