Persatuan Sepakbola Sumenep 1977 or Perssu, commonly known as Perssu 1977 is an Indonesian football (soccer), football club based in Sumenep Regency, East Java. The club plays in the Liga 3 (Indonesia), Liga 3. History Perssu Sumenep was established on 1977, Perssu Sumenep started their work in the Indonesian League by playing in the Liga Indonesia Third Division. In the 2011/2012 season, Perssu Sumenep, who at that time was ranked 11th in Third Division and they were entitled to promotion to Liga Indonesia Second Division. In its inaugural season in Second Division, Perssu Sumenep ended this season's competition in 6th place. After a change in format, Perssu Sumenep played in 2014 Liga Nusantara. In December 2014, they were promoted to the Liga Indonesia Premier Division. 2016 Indonesia Soccer Championship B
The 2016 Indonesia Soccer Championship B is the inaugural season of the Indonesia Soccer Championship B, a football competition that replaced the temporarily-suspended Liga Indonesia Premier Division. This competition started in 30 April 2016. PSCS Cilacap became champion after beating PSS Sleman 4-3 after extra time in the final. Teams Indonesia Soccer Championship B was competed for by 53 clubs from 2015 Liga Indonesia Premier Division. But later on, PS Badung Bali and Persires Rengat withdrew from the tournament. Liga 3 (English: ''League Three'') is the lowest tier in Indonesian football league system. Formed as Liga Nusantara in 2014, this league occupies the third tier and consists of 2 rounds: ''provincial qualification''—held in every provinces in Indonesia, and ''national round'', competed by provincial qualifiers (number varies between provinces). The 2017 Liga 2 was the inaugural season of the Liga 2 under its current name, and the eighth season under its current league structure. The 2014 Liga Nusantara season is the first edition of Liga Nusantara after the Second Division and Third Division merged on 2014 season.
