is the 13th studio album by Japanese singer/songwriter Mari Hamada, released on March 11, 1996. Produced by Hamada and Steve Tyrell, it was Hamada's final release by MCA Victor. The album was reissued alongside Hamada's past releases on January 15, 2014. ''Persona'' peaked at No. 2 on Oricon's albums chart. It was also her last album to be certified Platinum by the RIAJ. In addition, it was her last top-10 album until '' Gracia'' in 2018. Mari Hamada
is a Japanese heavy metal and pop rock singer. Since her debut in 1983, Hamada has been known as the "Heavy Metal Queen" of Japan. Throughout her career, she has released 25 singles and 23 studio albums. Biography Early history Mari Hamada started singing when she joined a choir at elementary school and participated in recording TV commercial jingles while in junior high. While at Musashigaoka High School, she formed a punk rock band called "Mari Band". It was founded in 1942 as the Japan Phonogram Record Cultural Association, and adopted its current name in 1969. Leland Bruce Sklar (born May 28, 1947) is an American bassist and session musician. Sklar rose to prominence as a member of James Taylor's backing band, which coaleced into a group in its own right, The Section. This group of musicians so frequently supported many of the artists on Asylum Records, both on stage and in the studio, that they became known as Asylum's ''de facto'' house band. Those artists would become the standard bearers of the singer-songwriter era in the 1970s. Lee Mack Ritenour ( ; born January 11, 1952) is an American jazz guitarist who has been active since the late 1960s. Biography Ritenour was born on January 11, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, United States. At the age of eight he started playing guitar and four years later decided on a career in music. When he was 16 he played on his first recording session with the Mamas & the Papas. He developed a love for jazz and was influenced by guitarist Wes Montgomery.
