Perry Baker
Perry Baker (born June 29, 1986) is an American rugby sevens player for the United States national rugby sevens team. With over 230 tries, Baker currently ranks first among Americans and third among all players in career tries scored in the World Series. Baker has established himself as one of the best rugby sevens players in the world. In the 2015–16 World Series, Baker ranked second with 48 tries scored and was one of seven players named to the World Series Dream Team. In the 2016–17 World Series, Baker ranked first with 57 tries scored, was again named to the World Series Dream Team, and won the 2017 and 2018 World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year award. American football Baker played college football for NCAA Division II Fairmont State University in West Virginia. He graduated from Fairmont State in 2010 with a degree in Criminal Justice. 2020 USA Sevens
The 2020 USA Sevens was held in Los Angeles, played at Dignity Health Stadium in Carson in a return to California after a decade in Las Vegas. The rugby sevens tournament was the sixth event of the 2019–20 Sevens World Series for men's teams, and the seventeen edition of the USA Sevens. South Africa won the tournament, defeating Fiji by 29–24 in extra time. Format The sixteen are drawn into four pools of four teams. Each team plays every other team in their pool once. The Scotland national rugby union team represents Scotland in men's international rugby union and is administered by the Scottish Rugby Union. Carlin Isles (born November 21, 1989) is an American rugby union player who plays for the United States national rugby sevens team. With 202 tries, Isles is first for the United States in career tries scored, ahead of teammate Perry Baker. Isles has been touted as the fastest rugby player. The 2018 USA Sevens (also sometimes referred to as the 2018 Las Vegas Sevens) was the fifteenth edition of the USA Sevens tournament, and the sixth tournament of the 2017–18 World Rugby Sevens Series. The tournament was played between 2 and 4 March 2018 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournament was won by the United States who beat Argentina 28–0 in the final. Madison John Hughes (born October 26, 1992) is a rugby union player who was the captain of the United States national rugby sevens team from 2014 until he stepped away from the team in late 2021. Hughes was named captain of the United States national team at the start of the 2014 Sevens World Series, shortly after the appointment of new head coach Mike Friday.
