Pero Nadoveza
Petar Nadoveza (9 April 1942 – 19 March 2023) was a Croatian professional football player and manager. During his playing spell at Hajduk he was nicknamed "Pere, splitski Pele" which meant "Pete, the Pelé from Split". Playing career Šibenik Nadoveza started his youth and senior career at HNK Šibenik. In Šibenik's youth academy he was under the guidance of Stojan Mileta who created a lot of talented footballers from that region. At that time Slavko Luštica was the manager of Šibenik and with him Šibenik was a fierce club in the Yugoslav Second League. Hajduk Split In 1963 Nadoveza moved to Hajduk Split where he would spend the next ten years of his career. He was a real "killer" on the field. He had amazing speed and a real instinct for the goal. Šibenik
Šibenik () is a historic city in Croatia, located in central Dalmatia, where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. 1965–66 Yugoslav First League
The 1965–66 Yugoslav First League season was the 20th season of the First Federal League ( sh, Prva savezna liga), the top level association football league of SFR Yugoslavia, since its establishment in 1946. Sixteen teams contested the competition, with Vojvodina winning their first national title. Revelation of match-fixing from May–June 1964 ("Planinić affair") Though the events in question had taken place fourteen months earlier, the beginning of the 1965-66 season and subsequently the rest of the campaign were marked by revelations of match fixing from May and June 1964, during the concluding weeks of the 1963-64 season. In late August 1965, two weeks into the new league season, FK Željezničar, Hajduk Split, and NK Trešnjevka were found guilty of fixing matches from two seasons earlier at the end of the 1963-64 season. The qualifying round for the 1968 UEFA European Championship consisted of 31 teams divided into eight groups; seven of four teams and one of three teams. Dražen Mužinić
Dražen Mužinić (born 25 January 1953) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Mužinić spent most of his career in his native Yugoslavia. With Hajduk Split he won four league titles, five cups and he was capped by his country 32 times. He was named the Yugoslav Footballer of the Year in 1977. Club career Norwich City manager John Bond signed him in 1980, paying what was then a club record £300,000 for his services. However, his time at Norwich was not a success. He struggled for form and did not speak English, making communication at times impossible. At one match, Bond employed the services of an interpreter from the University of East Anglia to pass on instructions to Mužinić from the touchline. Vilson Džoni
Vilson Džoni ( sq, Vilson Xhoni; born 24 September 1950) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He was named Yugoslav Footballer of the Year in 1978. Club career Džoni was born in Split to a family from Prizren, and is of Kosovo Albanian descent. He was a full back whose biggest weapon was his speed. At club level, he spent ten years at Hajduk Split playing a total of 207 league games. He then moved to Dinamo Zagreb, where he spent just one year before moving to Schalke 04. International career Džoni made his debut for Yugoslavia in a September 1974 friendly match against Italy and earned a total of four caps.
