Partridge
A partridge is a medium-sized Galliformes, galliform bird in any of several genera, with a wide Indigenous (ecology), native distribution throughout parts of Europe, Asia and Africa. Several species have been introduced to the Americas. They are sometimes grouped in the Perdicinae subfamily of the Phasianidae (pheasants, quail, etc.). However, molecular research suggests that partridges are not a distinct taxon within the family Phasianidae, but that some species are closer to the pheasants, while others are closer to the junglefowl. Erich Pernice
Erich Pernice (19 December 1864, Greifswald – 1 August 1945, Freest) was a German classical archaeologist. He was the son of the gynecologist Hugo Karl Anton Pernice (1829–1945). He studied classical philology in Berlin, and classical languages, history and archaeology at the University of Bonn, where his instructors included Reinhard Kekulé von Stradonitz and Heinrich Nissen. In 1888, he obtained his PhD with a dissertation titled ''Galen et de ponderibus mensuris testimonia''. Through a travel grant from the Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts (DAI), he participated in the excavation at Kerameikos in Athens. Gino Pernice (6 May 1927 – 25 April 1997) was an Italian stage, television and film actor. Life and career Born in Milan, Pernice trained at the Accademia dei Filodrammatici graduating in 1952, and made his professional debut with the stage company of Fantasio Piccoli at the Teatro Stabile of Bolzano. His breakthrough role was Tobia in a staging of ''Twelfth Night'' held by the De Lullo- Falk- Guarnieri-Valli's "Compagnia dei Giovani". Giovanni Pernice (born 5 September 1990) is an Italian professional dancer based in the United Kingdom, best known for his appearances on the British television show '' Strictly Come Dancing''. He is also an Italian Open Latin Dance Champion (2012), and the Guinness World Record holder for Jive kicks and flicks, as well as Charleston swivels. His height is 5 foot and 10 inches. Early life Pernice was born in Sicily, and at the age of 14 he moved to Bologna to concentrate on dance. He chose to become a dancer after watching the British ballroom dance television show ''Come Dancing''. Specialising in Latin style, Pernice has won a number of competitions, most notably, the Italian Open Championship in 2012. Hugo Karl Anton Pernice
Hugo Karl Anton Pernice (9 November 1829 – 31 December 1901) was a German gynecologist and obstetrician born in Halle an der Saale. He was the son of legal scholar Ludwig Wilhelm Anton Pernice (1799-1861), and the father of classical archaeologist Erich Pernice (1864-1945) and Agnes Ballowitz, nee Pernice, wife of Emil Ballowitz. Pernice studied at the Universities of Göttingen, Halle, Bonn and Prague. In 1852 he earned his medical doctorate at Halle, where afterwards he remained as an assistant to Anton Friedrich Hohl (1789-1862). Pernice (born July 17, 1967) is an American indie rock musician and writer, who has fronted several bands, including the Scud Mountain Boys, Chappaquiddick Skyline, The New Mendicants and the Pernice Brothers. Originally from Holbrook, Massachusetts, he is currently based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he is married to Canadian musician Laura Stein, formerly of the band Jale (band), Jale.
