''Permanent Revolution'' is the title for ska band Catch 22's fourth studio album, released on June 27, 2006 (July 18, 2006, in Canada). Background ''Permanent Revolution'' was recorded in January 2006. Composition The album can be classified as a concept album, centered on the life of Leon Trotsky (1879–1940), with the title being named after Trotsky's theory of permanent revolution. Release Catch 22 appeared at the Ska Weekend festival in April 2006; following this, they went on a US tour with Patent Pending. On April 25, 2006, ''Permanent Revolution'' was announced for release in two months' time. A music video was filmed for "Party Song (1917)" in New York City on June 10, 2006; that same day, "A Minor Point" was posted on the band's Myspace profile. Patent Pending is an American rock band formed in Mount Sinai, New York, in 2001. Consisting of Joe Ragosta (vocals), Anthony Mingoia (drums), Robert Ragosta (guitar), and Corey DeVincenzo (bass), the band had self-released various EPs before releasing its debut album, '' Save Each Other, the Whales Are Doing Fine'', in 2006 with original vocalist Michael Ragosta, and bassist Drew Buffardi on We Put Out Records. In 2009 Patent Pending released an EP, '' Attack of the Awesome!!!'', with Joe Ragosta and Michael Ragosta switching on lead vocals, and Jay Beiner on bass guitar. Michael Ragosta left the band shortly after the EP's release, with lead vocal duties permanently replaced by Joe Ragosta. The October Revolution,. officially known as the Great October Socialist Revolution. in the Soviet Union, also known as the Bolshevik Revolution, was a revolution in Russia led by the Bolshevik Party of Vladimir Lenin that was a key moment in the larger Russian Revolution of 1917–1923. Ryan Eldred
Catch 22 is an American ska punk band from East Brunswick Township, New Jersey. The band was formed in 1996 by guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Tomas Kalnoky, who left the band in 1998 and later formed Streetlight Manifesto. Founding members still in the band are vocalist/saxophonist Ryan Eldred, trumpeter Kevin Gunther and drummer Chris Greer. While largely inactive since 2012, the band performed at a spate of shows in 2015. Biography Catch 22 was formed by guitarist/vocalist Tomas Kalnoky and drummer Chris Greer who recruited trumpeter Kevin Gunther, who was working in a local record store. The Bamboozle
The Bamboozle is an annual three-day music festival which was held in New Jersey from 2003 to 2012, and is scheduled for a 2023 revival by its founder. Every year, new bands competed for spots during the two days. The event evolved out of the Skate and Surf Festival. The 2012 event was the final one of its original run, as founder John D'Esposito subsequently left Bamboozle due to creative differences with organizing partners. Whole Wheat Bread is a Caribbean American Pop punk band from Jacksonville, Florida, United States. They formed in 2003 and have so far released two albums and one EP, under the Orlando-based record label Fighting Records. History Aaron Abraham and Nicholas Largen were friends from Jacksonville, Florida. Abraham knew about Largen, DJ Dirtee $skeet through the Jacksonville underground rap scene in which Largen was well known. They met up and decided to form a rap group. But Whole Wheat Bread needing members was then filled by Largen and his brother. With Abraham on vocals and guitar and Largen on bass, Largen's brother Joseph was brought in to play drums, opting out of a career in neurosurgery, and Whole Wheat Bread continued to play shows and record. Big D and the Kids Table is a ska punk band formed in October 1995 in Boston, Massachusetts when its members converged in college. Their first release was on their own Fork in Hand Records label, but have since teamed with Springman Records and SideOneDummy.
