Samaje Perine ( ; born September 16, 1995) is an American football running back for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma Sooners football, Oklahoma, and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Perine currently holds the NCAA FBS record for most rushing yards in a single game, which he set as a true freshman in 2014 by rushing for 427 yards against Kansas. Early years Perine was born and raised in Jackson, Alabama, but later moved with his family to Pflugerville, Texas, where he attended Hendrickson High School as a member of their high school football, football and track and field teams. La'Mical Perine (born January 30, 1998) is an American football running back for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Florida and was drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Early life and high school Perine grew up in Mobile, Alabama and attended Theodore High School, where he played basketball and football. As a junior, Perine ran 1,416 yards, scored 16 touchdowns, and was named honorable mention Class 7A All-State. He rushed for 1,654 yards and 15 touchdowns in his senior year and was named first-team Class 7A All-State. Edward Martineau Perine
Edward Martineau Perine (July 31, 1809 – June 5, 1905) was a merchant and planter in Cahaba, Alabama. Born at Southfield, Staten Island, New York, a son of Edward and Addra Guyon Perine, and a descendant of Daniel Perrin, "the Huguenot", Perine moved to Cahaba, Alabama in the early 1830s, where he became a wealthy merchant and plantation owner. As early as 1832, Perine entered business as a partner with Thomas Moreng and Richard Conner Crocheron in the firm of Thomas Moreng and Company. Following Moreng's death in 1835, the business was dissolved and replaced by the partnership of Perine and Crocheron. Their store was located on the corner of Vine and Second North Streets in Cahaba, directly opposite Bell's Hotel. In 1850 Perine bought Crocheron's interest in the business and the storehouse and in 1853 Perine sold his mercantile establishment to the partnership of Samuel M. Hill and John R. Sommerville. Kelly Perine (born March 23, 1969) is an American television actor, writer, director, producer, and comedian. Perine attended Lake Forest Academy near Chicago, Illinois, where he studied stage acting. He spent his undergraduate years at Pomona College in Claremont, California majoring in film studies, where he graduated in 1991. After graduating, he studied at the University of California, Irvine where he received his master's degree in Drama seven years later. Career Perine is a veteran of over 25 years in Hollywood. George Edward Perine
George Edward Perine (July 9, 1837 – February 3, 1885) was a noted artist, engraver, and publisher. In 1852, he began engraving for Thomas Doney in New York and in 1856-1858 for W.W. Rice, a line and bank-note engraver. He engraved in mezzotint a large plate, entitled “The Signing of the Compact in the Cabin of the Mayflower,” before he was nineteen years old. He was employed by New York engravers in 1858-1860 and in 1860 began engraving on his own and soon established a successful business in New York City. He mainly did portrait engraving and though he had many engravers in his employ, it is said that he finished every plate himself. Among his best known productions were the engravings entitled "The Better Land", dedicated to the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, published in 1866; "The Good Part", published a few years later; and a series of portraits on steel of distinguished men which appeared in ''The Eclectic Magazine''.
