Perfect Game (2000 Film)
''Perfect Game'' is a 2000 American made-for-television comedy film about an eleven-year-old boy who loves baseball and yearns to play on his local Little League team. It was produced for the Disney Channel, where it was first aired. Plot Kanin Crosby, an 11-year-old boy who longs to play baseball for his local Little League team, is surprised when he and a group of other boys who, like him, are not all that talented, make the team. The team is led by experienced coach Bobby Geiser. The team soon find out, however, that Geiser was obliged to take the less-than-stellar players on in order to win a bet, provoking anger in Kanin, his friends and his mother Diane. With Diane's help, the team overthrow Geiser and he is replaced by Billy, a retired school baseball coach. The team soon find out, however, that their new coach requires just as much self-assurance as they do. Through this they discover the value of teamwork. Edward Asner
Eddie Asner (; November 15, 1929 – August 29, 2021) was an American actor and former president of the Screen Actors Guild. He is best remembered for portraying Lou Grant during the 1970s and early 1980s, on both ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show'' and its spin-off series ''Lou Grant'', making him one of the few television actors to portray the same character in both a comedy and a drama. Asner is the most honored male performer in the history of the Primetime Emmy Awards, having won seven – five for portraying Lou Grant (three as Supporting Actor in a Comedy Television Series on ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show'' and two as Lead Actor in a Dramatic Television Series on spin-off ''Lou Grant''. Zachary Britton
Zackary Grant Britton (born December 22, 1987), known professionally as Zach Britton until February 2019, is a professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees. Britton graduated from Weatherford High School in Texas and was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round of the 2006 MLB draft. Initially a starting pitcher, Britton converted to a closer and led the American League in saves in 2016 and was named to the AL All-Star team in 2015 and 2016. From September 20, 2015, to August 23, 2017, Britton converted 60 straight saves, an American League record. The Orioles traded Britton to New York during the 2018 season. Martin Spanjers
Martin Brian Spanjers (born February 2, 1987) is an American actor. He played Rory Hennessy on the ABC sitcom ''8 Simple Rules'' from 2002 to 2005, for which he won a Young Artist Award in 2004, and as Justin in ''Good Luck Charlie'' (2010-2014). Life and career Spanjers was born in Tucson, Arizona. His father, Frank, is a facilities administrator, and his mother, Sara, is an artist. He has an older brother, Matt. His paternal grandparents emigrated from the Netherlands, settling in Wisconsin. Spanjers auditioned for the starring role of Malcolm in ''Malcolm in the Middle'', almost getting it, but did get a guest spot in the show's pilot episode. Although he did not make it to Malcolm, he was able to show up in ''8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter''.
