Gastón Rodrigo Pereiro López (born 11 June 1995) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for club Cagliari and the Uruguay national team. Club career Pereiro grew from the youth system of Nacional. In April 2012, along with Diego Baldi, Leandro Otormín and Rodrigo Amaral, he traveled to England to participate in a ten-day training session at Liverpool. On 28 January 2014, he made his official debut for Nacional in a Copa Libertadores match against Oriente Petrolero. Luis Ángel Sánchez Pereiro alias Lois Pereiro (born Monforte de Lemos, February 16, 1958-died A Coruña, May 24, 1996) was a Galician poet and writer. Galician Literature Day was dedicated to him in 2011. Biography He was born in Monforte de Lemos, into a family from O Incio. He studied in the school of the ''Escolapios'', and began to write at 15 years of age. After finalising the COU (pre-university course) he left for Madrid, where he started his university studies of Political Sciences and Sociology. After a stay in Monforte working in the family company, devoted to the glass industry, he returned to Madrid to study English, French and German. Óscar Pereiro Sío (; born 3 August 1977) is a Spanish former professional road bicycle racer. Pereiro was declared the winner of the 2006 Tour de France, after the original winner Floyd Landis was disqualified for failing a doping test after his stage 17 victory. Pereiro is a former member of Porta da Ravessa (2000 to 2001), Phonak Hearing Systems (2002 to 2005), (2006 to 2009), and the cycling team (2010). After retiring from cycling in 2010, Pereiro joined his local part-time football club Coruxo FC of the Segunda División B. Early career Pereiro placed tenth in the 2004 Tour de France, 22 minutes 54 seconds behind original winner Lance Armstrong, who was subsequently disqualified.
