Percy Weatherall
Edward Percy Keswick Weatherall (born 1957) is a British businessman, formerly active in Hong Kong. He was managing director of the Jardine Matheson Group from 2000 to 31 March 2006 having joined the board in 1999. Weatherall joined the Jardine Group in 1976 and worked in a number of senior executive positions in Hong Kong, the US, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Korea and the Philippines, prior to becoming "Tai-Pan". Weatherall was chief executive officer of Hongkong Land. Weatherall is a member of the Keswick family which control Jardine Matheson through complex cross-shareholdings, despite holding only around 10% of the shares in the company. During Weatherall's period in charge, the company defended itself against Brandes Investment Partners who proposed the company break itself up to release extra shareholder value, and Jardines undertook large scale strategic investment in Astra International of Indonesia via the Singapore company Jardine Cycle & Carriage. Earl of Winchilsea is a title in the Peerage of England held by the Finch-Hatton family. It has been united with the title of Earl of Nottingham under a single holder since 1729. The Finch family is believed to be descended from Henry FitzHerbert, Lord Chamberlain to Henry I (r. 1100–1135). The name change to Finch came in the 1350s after marriage to an heiress by a member of the Finch family. In 1660 the 3rd Earl of Winchilsea was created Baron FitzHerbert of Eastwell, Kent, in recompense for his efficient aid in the Restoration of the Monarchy. Arthur Nicholas Winston Soames, Baron Soames of Fletching, (born 12 February 1948) is a British Conservative Party politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mid Sussex from 1997 to 2019, having previously served as the MP for Crawley from 1983 to 1997. Soames was Minister of State for the Armed Forces from 1994 to 1997 in the government of John Major. Alexander Surtees Chancellor, CBE (4 January 1940 – 28 January 2017) was a British journalist. Chancellor was educated at Eton College and Trinity Hall, Cambridge. He was the editor of the conservative ''Spectator'' magazine from 1975 to 1984. In 1986, after a spell as deputy editor of ''The'' ''Sunday Telegraph'', he became the first Washington correspondent of the newly-launched quality broadsheet, ''The Independent,'' and subsequently launched and edited the paper's first Saturday magazine. Sir Richard Horner Paget, 1st Baronet (14 March 1832 – 3 February 1908) was a British Conservative politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1865 to 1895. Paget was the son of John Moore Paget of Cranmore, Somerset and his wife Elizabeth Jane Doveton. He attended the Royal Military College, Sandhurst and was a captain in the 66th Regiment and Honorary lieutenant-colonel of the 3rd Volunteer Battalion, Prince Albert's (Somersetshire) Light Infantry. He was a J.P. and deputy lieutenant for Somerset. In the 1865 general election, Paget was elected Conservative Member of Parliament for East Somerset.
