Percy Fairall
Percy Christian Charles Fairall (1909-1980) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. He was a New South Wales rugby league team, state and Australia national rugby league team, national forward who captained his Sydney club side, St George Dragons, St George. Career Percy Fairall played nine seasons for the St George Dragons between 1928 and 1937, being club captain between 1935 and 1937. A talented lock-forward and hooker, Percy Fairall was a local St. George junior from the Ramsgate Club, who went on to represent his state and country. He is also remembered as the first St George Dragons, St. George player to play 150 grade games for the club. 1930 NSWRFL Season
The 1930 New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership was the twenty-third season of Sydney's top-level rugby league competition, Australia's first. During the season, which lasted from April until October, eight teams from across the city contested the premiership which was won by Western Suburbs, who defeated St. George in the grand final. Season summary In spite of the reduced number of clubs 1930 was the NSWRFL's most drawn out season. Because of representative fixtures and the need for a grand final, the season did not end until 4 October. The 1930 season was also the last in the NSWRFL for future Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame inductee, Jim Craig.
