Per Sefland
Per Ottar Sefland (born 27 January 1949) is a previous Governor of Svalbard. He served from 1 October 2005 to 16 September 2009. Sefland was born in Evje, and his family later moved to Larvik. He married in 1972, and has two daughters. He is a lawyer by education ( cand.jur., University of Oslo, 1975), and is a career law enforcement civil servant. After studying he was a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Justice from 1975 to 1976, police superintendent in Sunnmøre from 1976 to 1979, deputy judge in Kristiansund from 1979 to 1980 and chief superintendent in Nordmøre from 1980 to 1982. In 1982 he became acting chief of police of Vest-Finnmark, and in 1984 he became chief of police in Nordmøre. While serving in this position he had short leaves to serve in the Norwegian Prosecuting Authority and as Assisting County Governor of Møre og Romsdal. NATO Defense College (NDC) is the international military college for North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries. It is located in Rome, Italy. History The idea of a NATO Defense College originated with General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the first Supreme Allied Commander Europe, who identified very early on the need for a new international institution with a unique education mission. On 19 November 1951, the NATO Defense College opened its doors to Course 1 in Paris. In 1966, France withdrew from the Alliance's integrated military structure and the College moved to the EUR quartier of Rome, where it continues to fulfil its mission. Arnstein Øverkil
Arnstein Øverkil (29 March 1937 – 27 February 2014) was a Norwegian police chief and civil servant. He was born in Hegra, and from 1985 to 2002 he was the chief of police in Asker and Bærum Police District. In 2003 he was appointed as acting director of the Norwegian Police Security Service. He left in 2004 when a permanent replacement for Per Sefland finally was found. Øverkil came to the Police Security Service from the job as police advisor for Yassir Arafat, with whom he gained contact during the Oslo Process. Øverkil was also a central member of the Temporary International Presence in Hebron. He was in Hebron during the incident of February 2006 when TIPH observers were attacked by Palestinians and withdrawn. Sven Ole Fagernæs (born 12 March 1945) is a Norwegian jurist and civil servant who was Attorney General of Norway from 1993 to 2015. Sven Ole Fagernæs was born in Oslo and got a cand.jur. degree from the University of Oslo in 1972.
