Electric Callboy (formerly known as Eskimo Callboy) is a German electronicore band formed in Castrop-Rauxel in 2010. They take a more relaxed approach to the genre, and are known for their comedic songs, live shows and videos. History Early releases and ''Bury Me in Vegas'' (2010–2013) The first self-titled EP was self-released in 2010 and was distributed via EMP. Later the band re-released the EP via their actual recording label Redfield Records. The band was a support act for groups like Bakkushan, Callejon, Ohrbooten, We Butter the Bread with Butter and Neaera. At festivals, the group shared stage with acts like Casper, Distance in Embrace and Rantanplan. In 2011 they played at Traffic Jam Open Air and Mair1 Festival. Slime (band)
Slime is an extreme leftwing German punk rock band founded in Hamburg in 1979. They developed upon the straightforward style of late 70's British punk to create complex song structures with layered and cryptic texts, becoming one of the defining bands of the 1980s German punk scene. During their growing success, Slime became the subject of controversy as they were accused of "selling out". The band has dissolved and reunited twice from 1984-2009; often coming back together to address rising social issues (e.g. Hoyerswerda riots, Rostock-Lichtenhagen riots) with great commercial success and continue to produce music to the present day. Roger Miret And The Disasters
Roger Miret and the Disasters are a street punk group formed by Agnostic Front frontman Roger Miret. The band started when Miret was writing songs that were not a style suitable for Lady Luck (a band fronted by his wife Denise) or Agnostic Front, so he starting recording them on his own on a Boss recorder. Johnny Rioux had previously mentioned he would like to work with him, so Rioux helped Miret on what originally started as a solo project. Then Miret met Rhys Kill, who liked the material and joined in on the project. The band then recorded a demo tape, with Miret and Kill on guitar, Rioux on bass and Matt Kelly from the Dropkick Murphys on drums. That six-song demo found reviewed by Lars Frederiksen, who passed it off to his Rancid bandmate Tim Armstrong. He asked Miret to put his project out on Hellcat Records. Red Aim
Red Aim was a German rock band. The group was founded in 1995 and mainly played stoner and raga rock. After the change of vocalist to Karsten Brill, the music started to go more into the direction of punk rock and heavy metal. History Red Aim was formed in 1995. Pascal Flach and Benjamin Buss knew each other from school. The band released two independent EPs ''Sinai Jam'' (1996) and ''Orange'' (1998) before signing a deal with 'I Used to Fuck People Like You in Prison Records' (later known as People Like You Records). Red Aim's first album with them was ''Call Me Tiger''. The album contained two bonus tracks from ''Orange''. It was recorded again after Karsten Brill replaced Pascal Flach. The Meteors
The Meteors are an English psychobilly band formed in 1980. Originally from London, England, they are often credited with giving the psychobilly subgenre — which fuses punk rock with rockabilly — its distinctive sound and style. About.com calls the Meteors "the first true psychobilly band," noting their blend of the "themes of horror, punk and rockabilly". They were the second band to use the term 'Psychobilly' as a description of their music. Formed in South London in 1980, they are considered the first verifiable psychobilly band. Their albums ''In Heaven'' (1981) and ''Wreckin' Crew'' (1983) are considered landmarks of the early years of the genre.
