Pentagon (South Korean Band)
Pentagon (; stylized as PENTAGON; abbreviated as PTG) is a South Korean multi-national boy band formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016. The group consists of nine members: Jinho, Hui (singer), Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto Adachi, Yuto, Kino (singer), Kino and Wooseok. Originally composed of ten members, Dawn (rapper), E'Dawn left the group and the record label on November 14, 2018. They were introduced through the Mnet (TV channel), Mnet survival show ''Pentagon Maker''. Pentagon released their Pentagon (EP), self-titled debut extended play, EP on October 10, 2016. Five Senses (EP)
''Five Senses'' is the second extended play from South Korean boy band Pentagon. It was released on December 7, 2016, by Cube Entertainment. The album consists of five tracks, including the title track, "Can You Feel It". Background and release On November 24, 2016, Pentagon announced the title and release date of their second mini-album through their official SNS accounts. The album was highlighted in particular due to the short time between its release and the group's first mini-album ''Pentagon,'' which was released less than two months prior. The next day, they released a time schedule of the upcoming comeback. Group photos were posted on November 28 and 29. The K-pop Hot 100 is a music singles chart in South Korea, launched by '' Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea () on August 25, 2011. It is the second Asian ''Billboard'' chart after the Japan Hot 100. The chart used the same multimetric methodology as the US Hot 100 and rankings were compiled based on Hanteo Chart data, streaming and download data from Naver VIBE, and domestic radio and television music playback data. Updates were published on ''Billboard'' Korea's website every Tuesday, and appeared on billboard.com the following day. Gaon Digital Chart
The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart. History The Gaon Digital Chart was launched as a part of the Gaon Chart in February 2010, by Korea Music Content Association and South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. ''Love or Take'' (stylized as ''LOVE or TAKE'') is the eleventh Korean extended play by South Korean boy group Pentagon. It was released on March 15, 2021, by Cube Entertainment and Universal Music. Member Hui participated in the album's writing and recording process, but did not take part in promotional activities due to serving his mandatory military enlistment. The physical album is available in three versions: Romantic, Sporty and Mild. Background In mid-February 2021, it was reported that Pentagon would be making a comeback three months after the special single "Eternal Flame" released in December 2020. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010. History Gaon Chart was launched in February 2010 by the Korea Music Content Association, under the sponsorship of the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the aim to create a domestic national chart similar to the ''Billboard'' charts of the United States and the Oricon charts of Japan. ''Thumbs Up!'' is the seventh extended play from South Korean boy band Pentagon. It was released on September 10, 2018, by Cube Entertainment. The album consists of five tracks, including the lead single, "Naughty Boy". This is the first project from the group to not feature all ten members, in which Yan An and E'Dawn were absent from the comeback, over health concerns and a dating scandal respectively.
