Torren Ecker
Torren C. Ecker (born September 2, 1985) is a Pennsylvania politician and the Representative for the 193rd District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Career Torren Ecker is an attorney at a Hanover-based law firm. He also works with the East Berlin Community Center, the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, and the Rotary Club. Ecker worked as a legislative aid to Republican Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis in Virginia's 1st congressional district. Political career Ecker is a self-described conservative, and, in the early stages of his first campaign, promised to bring his "fiscal responsibility to Harrisburg to protect the hardworking families of the district." He has stated that he is a supporter of Second Amendment rights, but believes that these rights can be balanced when addressing issues like school safety. East Berlin, Pennsylvania
East Berlin is a borough in Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,542 at the 2020 census. East Berlin is served by the Bermudian Springs School District. East Berlin is located in the southern part of Pennsylvania, adjacent to the York County border and west of York. History Pre-colonization and early development Prior to the arrival of European settlers, the area in what would become East Berlin was inhabited by the Susquehannock Native Americans. As early as 1734, German, Irish, Dutch, and Quaker settlers began occupying land in what would later become Adams County. Following the 1736 signing of a treaty in Philadelphia between Thomas Penn and members of the Six Nations, many settlers began safely moving to the area. Shippensburg is a borough in Cumberland and Franklin counties in the U.S. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Settled in 1730, Shippensburg lies in the Cumberland Valley, southwest of Harrisburg, and is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area. Penn Township is a township in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States, established on October 23, 1860 from Upper Dickinson Township. The population was 2,924 at the 2010 census. Geography Penn Township is in west-central Cumberland County. The northern two-thirds of the township are in the Cumberland Valley, while the southern third extends up the slopes of South Mountain.
