Pengiran Anak Kemaluddin Al-Haj
Pengiran Anak Kemaluddin Al-Haj (12 December 1932 – 9 January 2012) was a nobleman, politician and teacher from Brunei who previously served as the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Member of the Privy Council, and the head of the Department of Religious Affairs. He was the founder of several Arabic schools. The institutions included the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers College, the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Girls' Secondary Arabic Religious School, and the Hassanal Bolkiah Boys' Arabic Secondary School. Early life and education Pengiran Anak Kemaluddin was born on 12 December 1932, however, according to his obituaries, he was born in Brunei Town on 8 March 1929, at Jalan Stoney, Kampong Sumbiling Lama. He was the son of a nobleman named Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Yassin bin Pengiran Tua Omar Ali. He has a brother named Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar. Cheteria
The Cheteria are a group of royal dignitaries within the Sultanate of Brunei whose position ranks below the Royal Wazir but above the Manteri. Each carry specialized tasks and report directly to the Sultan of Brunei. The Cheteria hierarchy is structured around what is known as the Four Fold system which expands up to 32 folds. Pengiran Muda Hashim (15 August 1907 – 27 December 1998) or simply known as P. M. Hashim, was a Bruneian nobleman and politician who formerly held several high-ranking positions which included being a member of the Privy Council, Legislative Council, and the Islamic Religious Council. Career On 24 August 1952, P. M. Hashim was appointed as a Wazir, becoming a member of the Privy Council and State Council.
