Pelli Naati Pramanalu
''Pellinaati Pramanalu'' () is a 1958 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film, produced and directed by K. V. Reddy. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jamuna, with music composed by Ghantasala. The film was simultaneously made in Tamil as '' Vaazhkai Oppandham'' with a slightly different cast that released the following year. The Telugu version was released on 12 December 1958 and the Tamil film on 4 September 1959. The Telugu version had an above average run at the box-office while the Tamil film fared average but recovered its money through pre-selling. At the 6th National Film Awards, ''Pellinaati Pramanalu'' won the Best Feature Film in Telugu award. Pingali (writer)
Pingali Nagendra Rao (29 December 1901 – 6 May 1971), known mononymously by his surname Pingali, was an Indian screenwriter, lyricist, and playwright who worked in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. Famous for his witty and romantic lyrics, he also wrote dialogues for many films. ''Pathala Bhairavi'' (1951), ''Missamma'' (1955), and ''Mayabazar'' (1957) are some of his best known works for story, script and song lyrics. Valluri Balakrishna was an Indian actor who primarily appeared in Telugu films as a comedian. He acted in more than 100 films as a comedian, but the role he played in the movie ''Patala Bhairavi'' alongside N. T. Rama Rao as "Anji Gadu" made him popular with the audience. He also played a role ''Sarathi'' in the very popular film ''Mayabazar''. Another Telugu comedian Rajababu used to felicitate one veteran on his birthday every year. Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on 3 November 1935. Her parents Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma, a Telugu family, had moved from Chandragiri, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Chennai for their livelihood. Her uncle, Devaraju Naidu, worked as a music composer with the celebrated Kannada theatre legend and movie pioneer Gubbi Veeranna and this introduced the young Jikki to the music and film world. Tikkavarapu Pattabhirama Reddy (19 February 1919 – 6 May 2006) was an Indian film screenwriter, producer, director, social activist, poet, and writer known for his pioneering works in Telugu cinema, and Kannada cinema. Reddy has received three National Film Awards for his works. In 1972 he produced and directed '' Samskara'' which garnered the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and Bronze Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival. Reddy has actively participated the Indian Emergency opposition movement, human rights movement, and child labor movements as founder member of People's Union for Civil Liberties. Presidency College is an art, commerce, and science college in the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. ''Mayabazar'' () is a 1957 Indian epic Hindu mythological film directed by K. V. Reddy. It was produced by Nagi Reddi and Chakrapani under their banner, Vijaya Productions. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages, with a few differences in the cast. The story is an adaptation of the folk tale ''Sasirekha Parinayam'', which is based on the characters of the epic ''Mahabharata''. It revolves around the roles of Krishna (N. T. Rama Rao) and Ghatotkacha ( S. V. Ranga Rao), as they try to reunite Arjuna son Abhimanyu (Telugu: Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Tamil: Gemini Ganesan) with his love, Balarama's daughter ( Savitri). ''Sakshi'' () is an Indian Telugu language daily newspaper sold mostly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was launched on 23 March 2008 by Jagati Publications Ltd. owned by Y. S.
