Pelageya Sergeyevna Telegina (russian: link=no, Пелаге́я Серге́евна Теле́гина; before marriage Pelageya Sergeyevna Khanova; born Polina Sergeyevna Smirnova; 14 July 1986), known mononymously as Pelageya, is а Russian singer. She sings folk-songs from different nations in different languages, romances and compositions written by the members of her group, mostly in rock arrangements. Honored Artists of the Russian Federation (2018). Life and career Pelageya's mother, Svetlana Gennadiyevna Khanova (russian: link=no, Светлана Геннадьевна Ханова), formerly a jazz-singer, theatre director and performing arts instructor, is now a producer and art director of her daughter's band. Pelageya's father is unknown. Her last name ''Khanova'' is the surname of her mother's last husband. At the age of eight, Pelageya entered the musical school attached to Novosibirsk Conservatoire. Novosibirsk (, also ; rus, Новосиби́рск, p=nəvəsʲɪˈbʲirsk, a=ru-Новосибирск.ogg) is the largest city and administrative centre of Novosibirsk Oblast and Siberian Federal District in Russia. ''Moskovskiye Novosti'' (russian: Московские новости, ''Moscow News'') was a Russian-language daily newspaper in Russia relaunched in 2011. The paper - by then a 'youth-oriented' free sheet handed out at more than 850 places around Moscow - on 23 January 2014 announced that it would cease publication on 1 February that year. It had been a long-established weekly newspaper aimed at an educated, elite audience. Between 2005 and 2008 it was owned by Arcadi Gaydamak. The bayan ( rus, бая́н, p=bɐˈjan) is a type of chromatic button accordion developed in the Russian Empire in the early 20th century and named after the 11th-century bard Boyan. Ivan Alexeyvich Telegin (russian: Иван Алексеевич Телегин; born 28 February 1992) is a Russian professional ice hockey centre who currently plays for Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers 101st overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Telegin represented Russia at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships where Russia finished in sixth place, whilst playing junior hockey in North America with the Saginaw Spirit and Barrie Colts in the Ontario Hockey League. After his NHL rights were transferred to the Winnipeg Jets after the Thrashers relocation, on 26 July 2011, Telegin was signed to a three-year entry-level contract with the Jets. Lyube
Lyube ( rus, Любэ́, p=lʲʉˈbɛ) is a Russian rock band from Lyubertsy, a city in Moscow Oblast. Lyube's music is a mixture of several genres, with influences from both Russian folk music, rock, Russian chanson, and Soviet military songs. The band was founded in 1989, and since then have released sixteen albums. Lyube's producer and main songwriter is Igor Matviyenko. History Igor Matviyenko was a music producer and composer working at the Soviet music studio SPM Record when he came up with the idea to start Lyube in 1988. His goal was to put together a band with patriotic themed songs and a strong male vocal. After devoting time to finding the right frontman, Matvienko chose Nikolay Rastorguyev, with whom he had worked earlier in the band "Leysia, pesnia" (russian: Лейся, песня, links=no). Nikolay Rastorguyev
Nikolay Vyacheslavovich Rastorguyev (russian: Николай Вячеславович Расторгуев; born February 21, 1957, Lytkarino, Moscow Oblast, Soviet Union) is the lead singer of the Russian group Lyube. In 1978, Nikolay was the soloist for the band (VIA in Russian) "Шестеро молодых," but his first note came during his 1980-1985 stint in the band "Лейся, песня (in English, Lyeysya, Pyesnya)." There he befriended Valery Kipelov, who was later to form Aria. After Leysya Pesnya split, Rastorguyev spent a year in the band Rondo before joining newly formed Lyube. Since then, Nikolay remains the band's only permanent member. He has also starred in a couple of movies and released a solo English language album. In 1997, Rastorguyev was given the honorary title People's Artist of Russia.
