Pehrspace
Pehrspace was an Indie music venue and art gallery situated in Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles. It was founded in 2006 by Adam Hervey and Darren King, and was later owned and operated by Pauline Lay. Pehrspace hosted experimental cinema nights, free clothes swaps, craft fairs, and exhibits. The building itself performed multiple functions, acting as a rehearsal space and recording studio during the weekday and a venue at night. A variety of professionals, from masseuses to voice teachers, rented out the adjoining office spaces and contributed to Pehrspace during their occupancy. Sean Carnage, born Sean Carney, is an American director and producer living in Los Angeles. He is also a concert promoter, hosting "Sean Carnage Monday Nights" at Pehrspace in Echo Park, Carnage has also hosted his "Monday nights" in the past at Los Angeles venues The Smell and the il Corral. His feature-length video 40 Bands 80 Minutes! was released in 2006, and re-released in 2020. Early life and career Sean Carney was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He dropped out of Case Western Reserve University where he was a National Endowment for the Humanities of Art History to hang out at the Euclid Tavern and listen to underground rock groups like Craw and the Jesus Lizard. Historic Filipinotown (alternately known as HiFi ) is a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles. It is one of the six Asian Pacific Islander neighborhoods (Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Historic Filipinotown, Little Bangladesh, Koreatown, and Thai Town) in the city. Health (often stylized as HEALTH) is an American noise rock/industrial band from Los Angeles, California. History Health was created after its members agreed the name should be an "everyday word." After reviewing a long list of terms, "health" was the only one not taken. ''Health'' Health first gained reputation through a remix of their song "Crimewave" by experimental electronic band Crystal Castles in August 2007. Lucky Dragons is an experimental music group consisting of Luke Fischbeck and Sarah Rara.
