Pehr Gyllenhammar
Pehr Gustaf Viktor Gyllenhammar (23 April 1901 – 22 November 1988) was a Swedish insurance company executive. He completed a law degree from Stockholm University in 1925, and became CEO of the insurance company Svenska Skeppshypotekskassan (the Swedish Ships' Mortgage Bank) in 1938. He was later CEO of the Swedish insurance company Skandia until 1970, when he was succeeded by his son, Pehr G. Gyllenhammar who is the Chairman of Reuters. Career Gyllenhammar was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, the son of insurance company executive Pehr Gyllenhammar and Anne (née Engelhart). He passed ''studentexamen'' in 1920 and earned a Candidate of Law degree from Stockholm University College in 1925. He did his clerkship in Askim judicial district from 1925 to 1928 and was an insurance and brokerage intern in Germany and England from 1928 to 1929. The Swedish nobility ( sv, Adeln eller Ridderskapet och Adeln) has historically been a legally and/or socially privileged class in Sweden, and part of the so-called ''frälse'' (a derivation from Old Swedish meaning ''free neck''). The archaic term for nobility, ''frälse'', also included the clergy, a classification defined by tax exemptions and representation in the diet (the Riksdag). Today the nobility does not maintain its former legal privileges although family names, titles and coats of arms are still protected. Order Of Vasa
The Royal Order of Vasa () is a Swedish order of chivalry, awarded to citizens of Sweden for service to state and society especially in the fields of agriculture, mining and commerce. It was instituted on 29 May 1772 by King Gustav III. It was unrestricted by birth or education and could therefore be awarded to anyone (as opposed to the Order of the Polar Star, which was intended as a reward for the learned professions). It was the most junior of all the Swedish orders. It was often awarded to Norwegian subjects of the dual monarchy until Oscar I founded the Norwegian Order of St. Olav in 1847. Since 1974 the order is no longer conferred: officially it has been declared as "dormant", along with the Order of the Sword. Östra Kyrkogården, Gothenburg
Östra kyrkogården (English: ''Eastern cemetery'') is a cemetery in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located in the parish of Örgryte, in the Diocese of Gothenburg. With an area of , and nearly 18,000 graves, it is the third largest graveyard in the city. Including the urns, it is estimated to be the resting place of 150,000 people. The cemetery houses the graves of many notable citizens of Gothenburg, whose work and donations helped shape the city. Many of their tombstones and monuments are stately works of art.
