Peggy Mast
Peggy Mast (born August 20, 1948) is a Republican politician who served as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives representing the 76th district. She served from 1997 to 2017, finishing her 20-year career as the Speaker of the House pro tempore. Career Mast was previously a school bus driver, and worked for Emporia Zoo, Arnold Staffing Services, and Design Rite Contracting. She has been a member of a number of organizations, including American Business Women's Association, Prairie Hens Unit, Kansas Cattlewoman's Association, Republican Women's Organization, and Alliance to Recognize and End Abuse. Eric L. Smith (born December 2, 1966) is an American politician and law enforcement officer serving as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives from the 76th district. Elected in November 2016, he assumed office on January 9, 2017. Early life and education Smith was born in Eureka, Kansas. He earned an associate's degree in electronics and minutemen weapon systems from the Community College of the Air Force in 1991 and a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and corrections from Liberty University. Career From 1988 to 1992, Smith served as an electro-mechanical technician in the United States Air Force. From 2001 to 2009, he was a security officer at the Wolf Creek Generating Station in Coffey County, Kansas. From 2012 to 2015, Smith served as an officer with the Lebo, Kansas Police Department. Norton, Kansas
Norton is a city in, and the county seat of, Norton County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 2,747. History Norton was founded in 1872. Like the county, it was named for Capt. Orloff Norton. The first hotel was a log house, built in 1873. One of the first recorded tornado pictures was taken in Norton, in 1909, by photographer Will Keller. Geography Norton is located at (39.833338, -99.890899).
